Yesterday at the delightful and friendly Burbage Constitutional. The sky was just a sea of blue. Everyone took their time, plenty of water was laid on and good use was made of the shady spots. The hot weather is set to continue into next week, but you a still enjoy your bowls. Just be sensible and look out for each other. ☀️🌞👍👍
The green doesn’t take care of itself. When the weather is like this the green team have to work extra hard to keep the green in tip top condition. Watering, feeding and managing how it is cut. Thanks from all members go to Keith and the team.

Rugby Thornfield Outdoor Bowls Club were given a warm welcome from Ted and the Rugby Rail guys yesterday afternoon. Beautiful afternoon, with all the hot weather the green ran quickly and really well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed eachother’s company.

Lots going on at Rugby Thornfield Outdoor Bowls Club today. We took delivery of out new equipment shed. In coming weeks it will get lock of green paint. On the meantime work has started on the visitors changing room. Huge thanks to those members who are able to spare a bit of time to come down and muck in. 😀👍

Lights, camera, action at Rugby Thornfield Outdoor Bowls Club today. We have received funding from to make over our visitors changing room. Wickes will film the transformation and weave in a bit about the club and its members. Great fun and thank you .
Today was our Love Rugby event. Around 50 people tried bowls for the first time and to have so many families down was just wonderful. It was great to see so many smiles and hear so much laughter across the green. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came down and had a go. Hope to see you again soon. And to those members who helped make the event happen, you are brilliant. 🤩

After last month’s Bowls Golf it was Killer Bowls tonight. Well done to Graham winner of the Killer round and Mark winner of the Zombie round. Fortunately all members survived the evening. 😬😀😂👍🧟♂️

Sunday 28th June 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Rugby Thornfield opens it’s green to everyone. Please spread the word to family and friends. There will be something for all ages, so come down and have a fun time trying bowls. It’s the ideal game for families to play together.
