*Sporting Rugby U9s/U10s – Gladiators Match Report*
*First Ever 7v7 Match – Playing Up a Year*
The Gladiators stepped into new territory today — their first ever 7v7 match, and playing up an entire age group at U10s. What an effort from the whole squad. Full team, full spirit, and a performance full of courage, teamwork and heart.
The opposition put up stiff competition, but the boys rose to it. Great passes, strong runs, and brilliant saves kept us right in the game. A few lucky breaks went our way, a few near misses didn’t — that’s football — and the team handled it all with real maturity.
What stood out most was the attitude. Every player dug in, supported each other, and kept pushing. For a first 7v7 outing against older players, this was something to be genuinely proud of.
*Coaches’ Player: Ayaan* — strong footwork, clever movement, and driving forward with real intent. He kept the tempo high and was a constant spark in attack.
*Parents’ Player: Sam* — solid goalkeeping, inspired saves, and a calm, cool head under pressure. He kept us in it at crucial moments and showed brilliant composure.
A fantastic first step into 7v7 football. The Gladiators should feel very proud.
