⚽️ MATCH REPORT ⚽️

Rugby Town Juniors U12s 5–3 Sky Blues Community U12 Hawks

Our first home game of the season at Ashlawn, and the boys certainly made us work for this one! 😅

We started quickly, with Jacob N opening the scoring with a brilliant long-range effort. Sky Blues responded almost immediately, but from there we took control of the first half.

Jimmy found Owen, who finished really well from a tight angle to put us back ahead, before Theo M laid the ball off for Jacob N to grab his second of the game – another great strike from distance! ⚽️

Blake then made it 4-1 from the penalty spot after being brought down inside the box. Sky Blues pulled one back just before the break, sending us in 4-2 up at half-time.

The second half was an almighty battle.

We were already missing a couple of boys and had picked up a few knocks during the game. Sky Blues were very physical and came out strongly, grabbing an early goal to make it 4-3 and really putting us under pressure.

But the boys dug in. 💪

We kept rotating, defended resolutely and worked incredibly hard for each other. Danny pulled off a couple of fantastic saves when we needed him, and every player on the pitch put a shift in.

Eventually Sky Blues started to run out of steam and we managed to get hold of the game again. We created a few good chances before Blake was fouled in front of goal and stepped up to calmly put away his second penalty of the game.

5-3. Full time. 🙌

Probably not our best footballing performance, but definitely one of our best for character. It was great to see the boys play through the knocks, keep going when things got tough and fight so hard for their teammates. A win they thoroughly earned. 👏

⭐️ PLAYERS OF THE MATCH ⭐️

🏆 Blake – Played all over the pitch, took plenty of knocks but stayed positive throughout. Showed huge heart and calmly slotted home two excellent penalties.

🏆 Cole – Used every ounce of energy he had! Matched them physically, showed great bravery and caused them all sorts of problems when we moved him onto the wing.

⚽️ A brilliant day at Butlin Road! 💙

Our boys had the amazing opportunity to be mascots for Rugby Town FC as they took on Coton Green.

They got to walk out onto the pitch with the first team before having a kickabout on the pitch at half-time in front of over 300 fans! 🙌⚽️

To top off a great day, Rugby Town came away with a 2-0 win! 💙

The boys absolutely loved the experience. A massive thank you to everyone at Rugby Town FC for making them feel so welcome and for the support they’re giving us as we start our journey as Rugby Town FC Juniors.

Hopefully plenty more days like this to come! 💙⚽️

Pre-season underway for our U15 Predators!

A great run-out for the lads in their first pre-season friendly today, and some valuable minutes in the legs as we build towards the new season.

Plenty of positives, plenty to work on, and all played on a cracking sunny morning! 💙⚽️

⚽ Fancy getting involved in coaching?

We’re looking for a couple of people to help out with our U15 teams this season.

Both teams already have managers in place, but an extra pair of hands at training and on match days would be a massive help. It could be setting up and running a few drills, helping with warm-ups or just generally getting involved and supporting the lads.

It might be perfect for a uni or college student studying PE or sport who wants some extra hands-on experience for their CV, or equally someone who just loves football and fancies getting involved with a local team.

You don't need loads of coaching experience either, we're happy to help with training and getting you up to speed.

We're a friendly little club and there's no expectation that you suddenly give up your whole weekend 😂 Just a bit of extra help would make a big difference to our managers and teams.

A fantastic evening on Friday as we welcomed Pete and Jess from Evolution-Physio, to training to officially present our U15 Spartans and U15 Predators with their brand new sponsored kits.

The kits look absolutely brilliant, and we're incredibly grateful to Pete and Jess for their incredible support. Partnerships like this make a real difference to grassroots football and help give our players something to be proud of every time they pull on the shirt.

Pete took the time to chat to the players, coaches and parents about the range of treatments and services Evolution-Physio offers, explaining how they can help everyone from young athletes recovering from injuries to parents trying to keep those slightly older, creakier bodies moving! I think I might even be booking myself in for some acupuncture soon! 😂

A huge thank you again to Evolution-Physio for believing in what we're building at Rugby Town Juniors. We're proud to have you as part of the club and can't wait to see both teams wearing these fantastic kits throughout the season.

⚽WELCOME TO RUGBY TOWN JUNIORS!⚽

Today marks the start of an exciting new chapter.

Rugby Town Juniors has been created to provide a positive, inclusive and player-focused environment where children can develop their football skills, build confidence, make friends and, most importantly, enjoy the game they love.

Our aim is simple:

✅ Develop players on and off the pitch
✅ Create a fun and supportive environment
✅ Encourage teamwork, respect and hard work
✅ Help every child reach their potential
✅ Create lasting memories through football

We're incredibly excited about the future and can't wait to share our journey with you all. From training sessions and matchdays to player achievements and club events, we'll be bringing you along every step of the way.
