SPREAD THE WORD! GMax classes are back on from 5th September!

The younger GMax members returning to school or college in September will face various scenarios, such as perhaps being in the youngest year groups, or being among the most senior in their schools. As martial arts students, or if you see someone being bullied, please remember your anti-bullying techniques. If you see a student looking shy or scared, talk to them, make them feel welcome, and ask if you can help them or show them around.

Always remember, snitches DON’T get stitches! If you report someone for doing something that is wrong, you are not a “snitch" or a "grass", you are the bigger person and you are doing the RIGHT THING! If you suffer in silence, the bad behaviour will just continue or could even get worse!

Don’t forget the three “Ts":-

– TALK to the person causing upset, they might not realise.
– TELL a trusted adult or teacher if the behaviour causing upset doesn’t stop.
– TAKE ACTION to protect yourself or others. This doesn't necessarily mean physical action, but could be a teacher or parent dealing with the person or people causing the upset.

If parents could please pass on the above to your kids it could make a massive difference to someone's school experience.

Sanda Judges Course
(Colchester Essex)
Date: Sunday 12 July 2026
Side-line Judges (Grade C) Course / Refresher Course
The course is FREE to BCCMA members on production of a valid and up to date BCCMA licence. Please book your place on the online system.
This course examines the rules that will be used at BCCMA National Sanda Events and will teach judging & scoring criteria and how to apply them fairly and objectively.
The course is intended for those who already have a deep understanding and have been training in Sanda / Qingda for 2 years or more.
Successful candidates who have successfully officiated at a BCCMA Sanda / Qingda event will be issued with the BCCMA Official Sanda judging certificate valid for 3 years. The course will start at 10:00 am and finish around 4:00 pm
Content
This course will take place once a year in advance of the competition. Its purpose is to train judges for the National Sanda & Qingda competitions. Judges are expected to attend a National Sanda / Qingda event before certificates are issued.
The course involves a thorough analysis and explanation of all aspects of the rules with discussion and demonstration. In this respect it is extremely useful for instructors wishing to properly prepare their students for the competition.
Things to bring.
Pen and Paper for personal notes, Personal refreshments Please bring / wear loose clothing as some judging / refereeing will be practiced.
