Today I collected the placenta from a wonderful first-time mum who welcomed her baby boy through a beautiful water birth.
Like so many families, they had found the final days of pregnancy challenging. As the estimated due date came and went, uncertainty began to creep in. It’s completely understandable. We place so much significance on a date, yet a due date is exactly that — an estimate, not an expiry date.
Those extra days can feel emotionally draining, especially when you’re eagerly waiting to meet your baby and answering constant questions about whether they’ve arrived yet. But babies rarely read the calendar.
This little boy arrived in his own time, when both he and his mother were ready. 💙
If you’re approaching or beyond your estimated due date, be gentle with yourself. Rest when you can, nourish your body, spend time doing things that bring you comfort, and if it’s your first baby spend time as a couple as it’ll be the last time you’ll ever just be the two of you.
Sometimes the hardest part is the waiting, but every day your body continues the incredible work of growing your baby.
Congratulations to this lovely family on the arrival of their beautiful son. Wishing them a peaceful and joy-filled fourth trimester. 🤍

Always always always ask these questions!!! I LOVE being asked about my experience, registrations, training and practices. Your placenta is precious and is also an organ from your body, containing possible blood bourne pathogens. It is incredibly important it is handled correctly and your remedies are prepared in a way that makes them safe to consume. Thank you to this lady for asking these questions and please never be afraid to ask!

Dose - when you receive your capsules you will receive full instructions and general dosage guidance. The reality is that different dosages work for different women and at different times. If you feel you need a boost, take more. If baby is having a growth spurt, take more to help support your milk production if breastfeeding. If you’re feeling well and energised stick with the dose you’re taking or even try to reduce it a little. Every body is different and I am always here to ask questions before and after baby is born

The size of your placenta is dependent on the size of your baby, which determines the amount of capsules you receive (and also preparation method and other remedies chosen). Your body makes the perfect baby for you, and therefore the perfect placenta.

Your placenta is amazing! Here are some of the remedies available to help support both your recovery post birth and also baby. Homeopathic remedy may be a constitutional remedy for your baby, that can be used throughout their lifetime for a multitude of reasons such as teething, illness, emotional support and more. Connecting with your baby is beautiful through massage, using a placenta infused oil goes further. Make use of the incredible organ your body produces to not only grow your baby but restore both of your health post birth
