The pitches are looking in brilliant form considering the drought we have had.
We have had a small group of people working day and night, 7 days a week making sure our summer renovations was given the best chance of thriving 🌱🌱
Along with all the other work we have completed and still yet to complete our aim is to try and be the best we can both on and off the field ⭐️

Millmoor Ladies 3 - 1 Forge Way

The ladies started off slow yesterday as we found ourselves trailing 1-0 early on in the game due to a mishap at the back. Nevertheless, the reaction to that got us back into the game. After many through balls and some good passages of play we found ourselves close to equalising on multiple occasions. Finally a slotted ball through with a calm and collective finish from Yasmin Webster (aka Mo Farah) found us level at the break.

HT: 1-1

The ladies come out in the 2nd half starting off much better. More pressure, more work rate and a lot more chances that we unfortunately couldn’t put away. However, with 15 minutes to go, everyone gave 100% and were determined to take the lead. After some good passage of play, Lacey Simmons (sponsored by 360 Scaffold Services) cuts in and takes a lovely strike from the edge of the box to take the lead.

10 minutes to go the ladies held their own. Defence putting in some aggressive but fair challenges, our keeper Emma Salkeld (sponsored by FMS Wheelchair Funeral Carriages) sweeping up like it’s nothing, meanwhile all trying to create more chances as we knew we needed to seal the lead. The final kick of the game, a long kick from our keeper, flicked on by Ebony Deans and Tiff Clarke (sponsored by RL Kitchens) calmly slots in past the keeper making it 3 - 1 to the ladies.

U12 girls reds getting more games in preparation for the season
Coaches reports below⬇️

2 games in 3 days for our girls as we carry on making our summer statement to our opposing teams.

On Thursday we made the trip to Bramley to test ourselves against a newly promoted division 1 team. We had a plan, we knew it would be a closely contested game and we executed it with style, sealing the victory with the last kick of the game.

Today, against one of our fellow divison 2 opponents we set up with a similar game plan as we knew they were also a team that deserved respect. Hoyland Town dominated play for the first 20 minutes which our Millmoor girls soaked up the pressure with confidence, then broke on the counter over and over again, always looking dangerous and creating lots of chances. Our girls fully deserved the victory once again and well done to Ruby and Isla in both these games for your goal contributions.

Millmoor Girls u12 Reds continue to impress whilst playing with a smile, having a good laugh and strengthening that special bond thats been created. Well done girls.
