The Runners-Up of the cricket final were recognized for their commendable performance and competitive spirit throughout the match. As strong contenders for victory, Rotherham Town Eagles CC displayed remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship, keeping the contest alive until the very end. In cricket, however, there can be only one winner, and despite their valiant efforts, they narrowly missed the top spot. In acknowledgment of their outstanding journey and contribution to an exhilarating final, the Runners-Up were awarded a £500 cash prize and a trophy, honoring their resilience and excellence in the league.

We hope and believe that Eagles with exceptional talent and pool of top notch players will come back strong in the 2027 season.

In the Afghan Tigers skipper Shafi Shinwari displayed outstanding batting skills, scoring 57 runs off just 72 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six. In the bowling department he took 4 wickets in 3 overs with only conceding 8 runs. This remarkable performance not only showcased the player's talent but also played a pivotal role in the team's success in being victorious. In recognition of this extraordinary achievement, Shafi was honored with a new pair of batting pads and a trophy, acknowledging his excellence and contribution to the match.

he demonstrated outstanding reflexes and strategic awareness behind the stumps. In honor of this remarkable achievement, Tariq were awarded the prestigious trophy and a pair of keeper gloves and keeping pads symbolizing his pivotal role in the team's success. This accolade is a testament to his hard work, consistency, and invaluable contribution to the league.

Category: Youth recognition and outstanding Volunteer Award of YPL.

The youth members of our cricket league have shown remarkable dedication and enthusiasm, significantly contributing to the success of the tournament. A trophy along with £100 cash prize was awarded to M Shams-ud-Duha Raza Zahidy for his involvement in scoring, leg umpiring, and capturing memorable moments through photography and videography that has been invaluable. By taking on these responsibilities, he has not only demonstrated a deep understanding of the game but also a commitment to teamwork and the spirit of cricket.

Category: Raffle Draw

We carried out free raffle draw from the league, an initiative to add an extra layer of excitement for our supporters and spectators. This raffle offered participants the chance to win £30. We would like to thank everyone who participated and supported this initiative. Your enthusiasm and involvement helped us create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for the league. The draw was conducted fairly and transparently, with 5 winners being picked from the hat.
