ππ Taking Pride in Our Community! ππ
Today, our service users have been out litter picking and giving back to the local community. ποΈβ»οΈ
Volunteering gives such a wonderful sense of pride, purpose and achievement, while helping to keep our local area clean and protecting wildlife. ππ¦π³
We are incredibly proud to see everyone working together, taking responsibility for their surroundings and making a positive difference. ππ
Small actions can make a BIG difference! πβ¨
π Sensory activities are for everyone! π
Today, some of our service users have been enjoying a range of sensory equipment and activities, including bubble tubes, musical instruments and a sensory tuff tray filled with different resources.
Sensory play isnβt just for children. For adults with learning disabilities, sensory activities can provide meaningful opportunities to explore different textures, sounds, smells, colours, movement and touch. πΆπ«§π
These activities can also support communication, choice-making, relaxation, engagement and simply having fun!
At Aztec, itβs all about finding activities that are meaningful and enjoyable for each individual. π
β½οΈ Inclusive Football at Chatham Town FC β½οΈ
Some of the people we support have been enjoying inclusive football sessions at Chatham Town Football Club! β½οΈπ₯
These sessions are about so much more than football. They help us to:
β½ Keep active, fit and healthy
π€ Learn how to play games safely together
π Encourage and support one another
πͺ Build confidence and teamwork
π Have fun and make friends
β€οΈ Develop a real sense of community spirit
Itβs fantastic to see everyone getting involved, cheering each other on and enjoying being part of a team.
A brilliant way to promote health, wellbeing, inclusion and independence β while having lots of fun! β½οΈπ
