Armoured only session this evening with a profight focus. We also got Joe in armour for his first time and he got some rounds in duelling in armour to get a feel for it.

Tonight’s session started with an EMOM cardio set before progressing into some drills and skills, specifically focusing on controlling and off balancing before aiming to trip or throw.

We then worked into some breakaway drills before finally finishing with some tactical and position discussion.

Spent a little time working on a helmet requiring additional straps.

Adding the straps meant peeling the liner away from the helmet, drilling the back of the helmet to allow the straps to be riveted in and then adding a buckle and buckle cushion so it fit and is comfortably against the chin.

Not a majorly complex job but one that can make a big difference in the helmet not hitting you in the face when worn.

Another mixed Thursday session with a focus on profight isolation rounds. Striking, clinch work and ground work both in soft kit and armour.

Small video drill for working on Osoto Gari(hump and bump), Ouchi Gari, Kouchi Gari and Kosoto Gake from a simple control position.

In Buhurt these are more to undermine base to get a better transition for a takedown, in profights most of these full send allow you to take people down without concern of going to the ground.
