ADMIRALS CUP 2026

Today, Sunday 23rd August, Rhuddlan Bowling Club welcomed Dyserth for the annual Admirals Cup.

It was our pleasure to host this year’s competition at Rhuddlan, and we were very fortunate with the weather. Everyone enjoyed a fantastic day of bowling, friendship and great company.

Congratulations to Dyserth, who ran out 7–3 winners and lifted the Admirals Cup at the end of the game. A special well done to Bob, Dyserth Captain, and his team on their victory.

A huge thank you also goes to the Rhuddlan C Team players, who provided a wonderful selection of sandwiches and cakes. Your hard work was greatly appreciated by everyone.

I would also like to give a special thank you to everyone throughout the Club who helped in any way during the day. Your support and hard work helped make the event such a success.

We are also pleased to announce that £115.00 was raised through the raffle and donations. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Congratulations once again to Dyserth, and thank you to everyone who helped make the day so enjoyable and successful

Regards Moz

RHUDDLAN BOWLS CLUB - WELCOME BACK & REQUEST FOR HELP!

Dear all,
I hope you are enjoying the new Bowling season and winning more than losing!
This week the sun is out and Spring has finally arrived for us to enjoy the outside fully.
The green is starting to recover after last summers hot and dry weather and I'm sure under Iwan and the teams work it will soon be one of the best playing surface's around again. We are very lucky to have Iwan, Keith, Paul and Colin to do the work every Monday and Thursday morning all through the year.
They are missing Tony Rainford i know as he was a member of the team until he passed last winter.
Iwan and co. could always do with some help if you fancy joining them - They are at the Green every Monday and Thursday morning 9.30am to 11.30 am and i do know its not all work and they do have a good chat over tea and biscuits putting the world right and hearing Pauls latest brain teasers for quizzes. It is almost a social club with some work thrown in. So please do not be shy.

Over the past 4 years we have been achieving fantastic results and awards in the Wales in Bloom. This has been down to the work done by a team led by Arwel. Unfortunately this year the team is somewhat depleted and Arwel really needs a few willing volunteers to join him to keep the surrounds in the condition we have become accustomed to.
Arwel generally attends on a Monday morning for an hour or two from 9.30am and he would be very grateful if you fancy joining him either now and again or on a regular basis throughout the season. The reward being a beautiful setting to play bowls created by you, fruit from the fruit bushes and tea and biscuits in the clubhouse, plus being with friends. So again please do not be shy its a great way to spend a Monday morning.

Many thanks

Mike Elgin
