Great to have Salford rugby league 18s with us today!

It’s a pleasure to welcome the Salford Rugby League Under 18s at Tynewydd!

Today they’re back using our facilities, continuing a long-standing association with the club that we’re incredibly proud of. 👏

It’s fantastic to see the next generation of rugby talent through our doors, and we’re delighted to play our part in supporting them.

Our 1st XV get back to league action this Saturday, with the challenge of local rivals, Abergele, coming to Ty Newydd Road to kick off the Division 2 North Campaign!

Our youth will again be on the road, heading to Mold on Friday night for their second consecutive away game of the season.

Our Rhyl & District Mini & Juniors season kicked off strongly today, with all age groups from U7s to U16s represented both at home and away.

There will be a lot of tired legs this evening, including those of the coaches and volunteers who work tirelessly and give up their own time to support our players week in, week out throughout the season.

Next week also sees the start of the RGC Cup, and once again we are proud to have teams represented across every age group in the competition.

🔴⚪️ 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧 ⚪️🔴

Colwyn Bay Athletic 43-17 Rhyl Athletic

Despite the result, there was some pleasing aspects of the performance for our Athletic side in their first competitive outing in 2.5 years.

The main positive, Rhyl were able to blood 4 youth team graduates from last year, for their first competitive senior rugby outing.

Man of Match was one of those graduates, Freddie Holt.

Thanks to all our travelling support. The Athletic’s next game is at home to Menai Bridge on 19th September.
