September League Results Round up

A tough start for the lads seen us drawn against last season's league winners and a strong prestatyn sports. Not how we planned to start the year after finishing league runners up but we moved on and secured 2 convincing wins against Hearts Milan and Kinmel Bay and the lads are hungry for more. Rhuddlan next week before we start our North Wales Coast Cup Run Vs Colwyn Bay. Lets go lads 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

U15’s Match report
A good run out for the boys this morning, keeping a clean sheet with our Gk back in between the sticks, after suffering a leg injury playing other sports a few weeks ago.
Many rotations of players used, with players coming back in to the squad for this fixture, keeping all the boys playing and developing, whilst still looking to keep our shape throughout and the boys seemed to do it well👌
Back up to second in the Leauge and looking good for another improvement on our final league positioning, which is my primary objective, but the boys want more and are still looking to challenge for the title💪

No fixture is scheduled for us next Saturday, with being our week off, as of an odd number of teams in our League.

U15’s match reports, from this week.

Thursday seen our u15’s not getting out of 1st gear and we were punished heavily, by a very positive Denbigh team, who came looking to win the fixture, more than we did.
1-8 loss
Well done to Denbigh 👏

A big response from the boys was needed this morning, in the first round of the North Wales Coast Cup, whereas we traveled 2hrs down the coast to Barmouth, for a 10am ko.
A strong start to the game, leading us to take the lead in the first half.
Second half seen Dyffryn & Tal y Bont put it all on the pitch and took the lead 2-1, but a fight back from the boys to draw back level, with a last 20 minutes of dominant football.

Penalty shootout to decide the fixture and our boys stayed calm and put all five spot kicks away, winning the fixture 4-5 on penalties and earning a second round home fixture vs Holyhead Hotspur ⚽️💪

Back to Leauge action next Saturday, as we start the second half of our u15’s Leauge season, starting with the reverse fixture away vs Henllan⚽️

15’s match report

A very enjoyable fixture to be apart of this morning.
Strong squad performance and we looked to play some very good football against strong opposition (Prestatyn Sports)
Couple of little errors were made, leading to their two goals, which will be gone over in training before our next fixture.
In the way we scored our goals, were both from the constant pressure that we applied and fantastic long range shooting accuracy 👏
Energy levels were high and enthusiasm to win the ball back was fantastic, for the best part of the fixture and all giving 💯

Big game this Thursday vs Denbigh Town at our Hops & Barley community stadium, whereas we will be able to play our football on a top surface.
A win vs Denbigh, will see us challenging at the top of the league, going in to the second half of the u15’s league season and before a nice trip to Barmouth, in the 1st round of the NWCoast cup on Saturday 💪

2-2 away draw

15’s Match reports from both our fixtures, over the last couple of days:

Thursday
Vs Prestatyn Town
Back to winning ways, with a strong squad performance this evening, playing at our home Hops & Barley community stadium, on a great playing surface, thanks to our Chairman for the hard work he puts in to it👌
Really happy with how all our new players seem to be settling in, after five fresh faces have come on board over this last week and few days.

A good win and a solid clean sheet ⚽️👌

Saturday
Vs Henllan
Pleasing performance again today, playing at our Hops & Barley community stadium. We did take our foot off the gas and relaxed a little at the start of the second half, after having such a dominant last 15mins of the first half. Final 20mins with a little encouragement, we finished the fixture with lots of enthusiasm once again. On field communication between all the boys, looks to be building👌

Another good win ⚽️👍

Our next two leauge fixtures will be our toughest tests, so far this season and will determine if we are strong enough to challenge for the title. We won’t have the time to take our foot off the gas, in either of these💪

Pre season Results

Ending our U12 Campaign with a win at the SCI tournament we have been regrouping and working hard to be ready for the new season starting next weekend.

We have played a few pre season friendlies against lots of teams like Prestatyn Athletic , NFA, Colwyn Bay and Llanrwst Utd. Some highly competitive games where we ended with 4 wins from 4 and all this topped off with us Winning the Pentre Tournament last weekend 😀

Lads are ready for a very tough start in the league and we look forward to another great season ahead of us.

Huge thanks to our sponsors this year -
