A disappointing scoreline for our first outing of the season.
This is what friendlies are for - to give the team a run out, try out lines and give every single player time out there.
Every player got their ice time, including our under 19s, and our goalies played half the game each.
We do have a lot of positives to take away from this evening, and a lot to tweak and go away and work on.

Well done to Mylo Wylie on his man of the match award - well deserved. You certainly impressed out there playing your first game in a Paisley jersey. A great addition to the squad.

Thanks to all the fans who made the journey, we really appreciate the support 🏴‍☠️

Welcome back CALUM BLAIR!

We are delighted to welcome Calum back for his 14th season onboard the Pirate ship!
An important part of our team who can make a difference at both ends of the rink, he is easily adaptable and a fantastic team player taking on the position needed on the night.
As one of our longest standing team members he is an integral member of our squad, and he hits the ice with determination every game

When the Paisley Pirates were first established in the 1940s, we played in blue!
For our special edition 80th anniversary strip, we have gone back to our roots and recreated that original strip.
There have only been thirty of these tops produced, and there will be no more made when these are gone - so they really are limited edition!

Our friends at Houstons Kiltmakers have been working on something very special for us - we are delighted to launch the Paisley Pirates tartan!
You will see this is featured on the collars of our Home and Away strips!

DID YOU KNOW?-
When the Pirates were first established in the 1940's, we played in blue!
That's why for our special edition 80th Anniversary jerseys we have gone back to our roots and created something really special. Working closely with photographs from the original team, we have recreated our original team jersey, especially for our birthday 🤩

Welcome to Paisley, CALE TANAKA!

We are delighted to welcome forward Cale onboard the Pirate ship for 26/27.
Popular with fans for his 'never say die' attitude, he brings with him a wealth of experience.
Canadian Cale has played with various teams throughout the Junior set up in Canada, before going on to play at the University Of Alabama - Huntsville, in the USA.
He continued his hockey career playing with Montpellier in France2 league, before returning to Canada for a season with Dundas Real McCoys.
Cale made the move to the UK in 2012 and has played in the EIHL with Hull Stingrays , Coventry Blaze, Dundee Stars and Glasgow Clan (known at the time as Braehead Clan).
He has most recently been in NIHL with Solway Sharks and then Milton Keynes Lightning, before taking some time away from playing.
We are really pleased that he has decided to lace those skates back up and join us here in Paisley!

I'm excited to help the team and I really want to spend the year connecting and sharing as much of my experience with the local talent and hopefully helping them in the next steps of their hockey career. I'm happy to be spending some time with some old faces I have played with before and it is great to be back on the same team and competing together again!"

Welcome back CHRIS TURLEY!

As we celebrate our 80th year as a club, it's also a milestone for our longest serving member of the team as he reaches 20 years with the Paisley Pirates!

Our veteran defenceman brings back with him his passion, determination and unwaivering loyalty to the club as he joins the boys back on the blue line.
A team guy through and through, we are delighted to have him back at the helm for the new season!
