RENFREW BOWLING CLUB — PVBA DIVISION 2 PLAY‑OFF

PVBA Division 2 play‑off between Renfrew and Hawkhead, deciding which club would join J G Fleming BC in Division 1 next season.

After a very close match at the neutral venue of Charleston BC, Renfrew emerged victorious in a tense, hard‑fought contest that went right down to the wire.

Congratulations to Renfrew Veterans on a well‑earned promotion, and commiserations to Hawkhead after a brave effort.

A special thank‑you to Charleston BC for hosting the play‑off and providing excellent facilities for both teams.

RENFREW BOWLING CLUB — CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS UPDATE

Renfrew had a mixed day overall, with the Pairs and Triples both battling brilliantly to make it through to the afternoon games.
Unfortunately, the Singles and the Fours just missed out — but not for lack of effort.

Every match was nip and tuck, taken right down to the last end, with our players pushing their opponents all the way. A day full of tight heads, pressure bowls, and proper Renfrew grit.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS — LADIES PAIRS

At Bishopton Bowling Club, Selina Rennie and Yvonne Thomson represented Renfrew brilliantly as they took on the Brookfield ladies pair.

It was a well‑contested match throughout, with Selina and Yvonne producing some cracking bowls and keeping the pressure on end after end.
A strong performance from both players, showing great teamwork and composure on the big stage.
