What a season for Sam, our youngest PowerPlay Ambassador 🏏💚

A year ago, he was starting to really make his mark in cricket. This summer, playing up an age group in the U9 Surrey West Tier 1 league, he’s been named Player of the Year in the league-winning East Molesey CC Avengers side. 🏆

A batting average of 49, over 100 runs, match-winning moments in the field and best bowling figures of 3–7 — but the numbers only tell part of the story.

The energy. The enthusiasm. The bravery. Stepping up when the pressure was on, whether with bat, ball or in the field.

He played in all 7 of the team’s league victories and made a real impact throughout the season.

So proud of you, Sam. ❤️

What a journey. What a season. And hopefully just the beginning. 🏏🔥

BATTING MASTERCLASS with a Surrey legend. 🏏

We had the honour of hosting Ali Brown at PowerPlay in August summer break, booked in collaboration with the PCA as one of their legends.

Nicknamed “Lordy” for his big-hitting, aggressive style at the crease, Ali brought that same intensity to coaching. His approach to batting gave our players (and us) a whole new perspective on the game.

Big thanks to the PCA for making it happen. 🙌

Coach Campo is returning to PowerPlay to lead another two masterclasses!
Marcus will be bringing his expertise from coaching Strength & Conditioning to the Surrey women’s pro team and combining this with his favoured skills of power hitting and wicket keeping to deliver his two classes!

Attendees will learn exercises to strengthen the relevant muscles to get the most out of a skill, before putting the skills into practise!

Session 1, 9-11am: S&C and BATTING
Session 2, 12-2pm: S&C and WICKET KEEPING

A cricket LEGEND at PowerPlay 🏏🔥

Saqlain Mushtaq brought his experience straight to our indoor centre for a full masterclass — batting, bowling and everything in between. Players got hands-on coaching from someone who’s played and coached at the very top of the game, and the energy in the building said it all.

This is what PowerPlay is all about: bringing pro-level coaching to Redhill and giving young players moments they’ll remember for years.
