I remember when I was pregnant with my daughter, craving time to simply pause and connect with my baby and my body.
I needed time to sit or lie down, feel my baby moving, draw my focus inwards and really listen to my body.
Life can feel so full in pregnancy. Work, responsibilities, the endless lists of things to do, the things you need to gather or prepare. It can be hard to find moments to slow down and connect with the baby growing inside you, and with yourself too.
Bonding begins in the womb. Birth asks mother and baby to work together, to listen, respond and surrender to the process. Creating space in pregnancy to tune inwards, connect with your body and your baby, and practise presence can help you build trust in that process.
Pregnancy yoga offers those moments — to breathe, soften, listen and observe.
Pregnancy yoga is a practice of connection, trust, and coming home to yourself as you prepare to birth and become a mother.

🌙Ardha Chandrasana - half moon pose🌙
Rooted in modern yoga, featuring in B. K. S. Iyengar's Light on Yoga.
The pose requires steady focus so we can find equanimity under instability. It encourages us to take up space, reaching through to all corners of the body, expansive and spacious.
Since balance can feel precarious at times, the pose asks us to gain grounding in the supporting foot, focus with our Drishti (gaze) and trust in ourselves to find that balance point. When wobbles arise we can welcome them with humble lightness and begin again.
I love how using a block brings me more space and steadiness so I can focus on being present and breathing deeply and slowly.
Why not try a block and see how it feels because it might help you find your balance and grounded presence.
