Twenty one of our members enjoyed competing in the Mixed Triples Shield - congratulations to the finalists Claire, Linda, Derek, Lesley, David and Roger.
The Shield was won by Claire, Linda and Derek - well done all! 🙌🏻🏆 🌞

Congratulations to all those who played in this year’s Club Competition Finals!🎉🏆🎉
What a great weekend of bowling on our fantastic green!
A special mention for Bill, who competed in 6 finals and won all of them! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks to Keith and all those that supported the finals including the markers, scorekeepers and those that prepared the green.

This week we welcomed Uffculme to our club. The team from Devon were on tour and played at several clubs in Berkshire. We had a very enjoyable game and after the match were treated to a couple of songs from the touring team!

Congratulations to Linda, Diane and Claire! They played at the Bowls England National Women’s Triples Championship at Leamington Spa, representing Berkshire.

They won against teams from Northamptonshire and Norfolk to reach the last 16 of the national competition. Their run unfortunately came to an end on the second day against a strong Kent triple.

All three played fantastically, each making a significant contribution to a magnificent team performance.

A wonderful achievement and something to be very proud of — well done, Linda, Diane and Claire! 👏🏻👏🏻 🔵🟣🟢

The annual President vs Captain’s match is always a special occasion for our club.

This year, the teams were led by Club President Claire Morrison and Club Captain Debbie Bissett — marking the first time in the club’s history that both the President and Captain have been female.

The afternoon began with the traditional ‘Spider’ competition, followed by 18 ends of bowls played in glorious sunshine. Afterwards, players and guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea in the clubhouse, along with a game of ‘Heads & Tails’ and a raffle.

Congratulations to the Captain’s team on their win! 🏆🕷️🍰

A huge thank you to everyone who played, supported the event or helped make it such a brilliant afternoon!

It was great to see some of our new bowlers in action at the club. Dave, Andrew, Helena, Dave, Maria, Colin, Jeanette and Jim took part in our new bowler’s pairs competition. Congratulations to the winners, Maria and Colin and runners up, Jeanette and Jim. It was a very close final that went to an extra end to determine the result.👏🏻

Congratulations to the Desborough team on their win!
As finalists, both teams will represent Berkshire at the National Finals at Leamington later this month.

The club’s annual Ladies vs Gents match was full of fun and friendly rivalry. As it was extremely hot this year we wore casual clothes to help keep cool. We also had a break half way through the game to enjoy ice creams 🍦😊
After the game we enjoyed a delicious buffet tea in the clubhouse and a raffle.
Congratulations to the men on a win this year! 👏🏻

🏆Ken Baker Trophy🏆

We played the Ken Baker Trophy match against Suttons Bowling Club this weekend. In the past this fixture was played by men’s teams, but this year it changed to mixed teams.
Congratulations to the TMX team, who won back the trophy this year! 👏🏻👏🏻
