4) Play half and/or full court games-adults and children will play in separate games at this point
5) Cool down and stretch. Occaisonally we will have sessions where we warm up, play for the whole session, and then cool down and stretch. The emphasis on every session is on having fun and enjoying the sport, getting some exercise, learning new skills and meeting and socialising with people. Skill level does not matter as all skills will be taught and the emphasis is on enjoyment more than competition. It is useful to have an existing base level of fitness as basketball can be a physically demanding sport. If you are unsure if you have any medical issues that could be made worse by participating, please check with your doctor first. Always let the coach (Steve) know if you have any ailments, injuries or conditions which may be affected by participation. In addition to the weekly sessions we also occasionally run club socials. Events that we have done in the past are: Christmas drinks, evenings out, watching live BBL basketball games, using basketball to raise money for charity. We aim to keep up with regular club socials!
