Still trying to absorb all I have learnt over the last few days, the people I talked to and the people I listened to - I am blown away by your knowledge and expertise but mostly the desire to do good and be better and help others do the same. I feel incredibly blessed to have the chance for a second career where I can truly make a difference in my own small way, helping one woman at a time be more confident , learn to eat well and enjoy all the benefits that exercise can bring.

This Anchovy and Fennel Salad is a delicious combination of crisp fennel and savoury anchovies. As well as being full of flavour, it is super low in calories for a side dish or snack and provides nearly 6g of fibre per portion, which is about 20% of the recommended daily fibre target of 30g for adults. Fibre is important for healthy digestion and can help prevent constipation. It also helps you feel fuller for longer, which can be particularly helpful when trying to lose fat or manage your weight. It’s also one of the best salad dressings I’ve ever made .. and I LOVE salad 😁. Here is the recipe if you want to try it https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/recipe/fennel-anchovy-salad. What’s your favourite salad combination? 🥗👇 TrainSmartEatWellBeStrong

🏃‍♀️ HAPPY GLOBAL RUNNING DAY 🏃‍♀️
Today is a celebration of one of the simplest and most powerful forms of movement available to us… running (and let’s not forget jogging and walking too!).
Running doesn’t require an expensive gym membership, fancy equipment or hours of free time. In fact, all you really need is a good pair of trainers and somewhere to put one foot in front of the other.
Here in Caversham, we’re incredibly lucky to have miles of beautiful, largely flat running routes along the Thames right on our doorstep. Whether you’re training for a race, jogging with friends, mixing walking and running intervals, or simply getting outside for some fresh air, every step counts.
The benefits of running and other aerobic exercise are well established:
✅ Lower risk of heart disease
✅ Lower risk of stroke
✅ Lower risk of Type 2 diabetes
✅ Improved mental wellbeing
✅ Reduced stress and anxiety
✅ Better sleep
✅ Improved confidence and self-esteem
Current UK guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week, and the evidence is clear: regular movement is one of the best things we can do for our physical and mental health.
The best exercise is the one you enjoy enough to do consistently.
So today, take a moment to celebrate movement, fresh air, strong legs and what we’re capable of when we keep showing up.
How are you moving today?

Two different marketing messages yet both products contain the same amount of protein. I’m not saying one product is better than the other, but the front of the packet only tells part of the story. Next time you are shopping take a few seconds to read the nutrition panel on the back so you can make an informed choices .

I’m addicted to this mid morning snack. It’s so simple yet packed full of nutrients, fibre and plant protein. Give it a whirl 😋

08/05/2026

My lunch looks huge 😊, but it contains 36g protein, 20g fibre (that’s 2/3 rd of the uk recommended 30g daily target) and comes in just over 400kcal and I’m hitting 6 of my 5 a day. Food energy density is important to all of us, but especially for helping fat loss.

My Super Easy Extra Veg Niçoise Salad 🌿

Quick, filling and packed with goodness — perfect for busy days when you still want to eat well.

🥗 What’s in it:
• 1 medium soft boiled egg (7 mins)
• Green beans (lightly cooked for 3.5 mins – still nice and crisp!)
• 1 can tuna in spring water, drained
• Sprinkle of pumpkin & sunflower seeds
• ¼ small avocado
• 1 small carrot
• ¼ cucumber
• ½ red pepper + ½ yellow pepper, chopped
🥄 Dressing:
Dijon + balsamic + apple cider vinegar + light spritz of extra virgin olive oil Traditionally you’d also find anchovies in a Niçoise — feel free to add if you like them, but this version keeps it simple and still ticks all the boxes

Why it’s a winner:
• High protein – supports muscle + keeps you full
• Fibre rich – great for gut health
• Healthy fats – supports hormones & energy
• Loaded with micronutrients – boosts immunity & recovery
• Supports blood sugar balance – helps avoid energy dips
• Great for fat loss – high volume, nutrient-dense, and tastes delicious.

Two years ago today I opened my garden studio for the first time. It was a huge leap of faith — something I would never have dreamt of doing without the support of some very key women in my life (and my wonderful husband).
What started as a few clients in a garden studio has become a community of strong, supportive women — something I feel incredibly proud of.
Today feels like the perfect moment to pause and say thank you.
To the many brilliant female fitness professionals who have shared their knowledge, encouragement and inspiration along the way — your support has helped me keep learning, growing and building something I care deeply about. Thank you.
To all the women I’ve trained, past and present — thank you.
Thank you for showing up, for trusting me, for working hard, and for allowing me to be part of your journey. Watching you build strength, confidence and knowledge week by week is a privilege I never take for granted.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” really resonates with me — because when women lift each other up, we all grow stronger.
Thank you for being part of my journey 💜
Beyond grateful.
