⚽️ GOALS PLAYER FOUNDATION | WEEK 1 ⚽️
What a fantastic start to the GOALS Player Foundation🙌
Week 1 of our new GOALS Player Foundation was a huge success, with players embracing the session, working hard and showing a fantastic attitude throughout the 90 minute session 🕰️
The Player Foundation has been designed to enhance players’ abilities at all levels, helping them build confidence, develop their technical skills and tactical awareness, and progress through the game with a clear pathway towards higher levels of football⚽️
🔥 WEEK 1 FOCUS
Our first session introduced players to key areas of the game, including:
🎯 Passing – developing technique, accuracy, movement and decision-making when in possession
🥅 Shooting – improving finishing technique, composure and creating opportunities to score
🧠 Awareness & Game Understanding – beginning the process of helping players recognise space, understand their surroundings and make better decisions during game situations. The session was not only about developing individual technical ability, but also about understanding how those skills transfer into the game. This will be a key focus as the programme progresses
