🥈at Middlesex Masters in O35’s Open Doubles
It was a good set of games at the masters tournament. We kept the pressure on with well managed attacks. We played the pair that won overall in our very first match, which wasn’t ideal, nevertheless good result 👍🏽

Thats a wrap for 2022/23 season!!!
Mighty Congratulations to MensA team for their valliant efforts this season as it was a mix bag of inconsistencies, amazing comebacks, return to form and change in pairings.
Well done to Mens B team for pulling together and bringing home much needed wins in the second half of the season to stay in Division 2. We now have good foundation in terms of pairings, need to work on consistent game play.
Good job by the Ladies team to finish 4th in the table.
As for the Mixed Team, it has been a tough and hard season. Division 1 is more suited for us as a club but we have had good couple of years in Premier Division. We have some work to do to get back to the top tier.
Silver Fox Badminton Club is proud to have you as members and look forward to the next season with the aim of finishing higher, like we always do, year on year.
Have a wonderful summer 👍🏾
Cheers

MIDDLSEX MASTERS UPDATE
Lewis and Vinay competed in O40’s bronze tournament today. 2 groups with good quality pairs and unfortunately only top pair in each group go through to next round.
Although leading 18-11 in the first game against the pair they lost, change in strategy by the opponents and unforced errors from our pair lead to losing the rubber denting the confidence.
Hard fought matches but unfortunate to finish second. Well done to both!

!!Good News!!
Vinay(me) and Lewis competed in West of England Masters tournament (O40’s category) and finished Runners Up 🥈
There was just one group with 4 pairs.
First Match: Won the first rubber but lost the second. Third rubber was even until 7 points but lost 4 consecutive to go down to 7-11 at change of ends but held our nerves to finish 25-23z
This set the precedence where the next 2 matches went to three rubbers. Unfortunately we lost the third rubber of second match, and the opponent’s ended up with Gold
Third rubber of third match was similar story where we were down 1-7 but managed to tentatively level back at 11-11 and eventually win 21-16 to secure🥈
This is the first Silver tournament that myself and Lewis have played together. Off to a good start.
