We are starting a new series of cycling activities next week based at the Beansheaf Community Centre. It includes skills sessions, an obstacle course and a trail ride exploring the local area. Avanti Freewheelers Community Cycling club will be supporting School Streets by providing fun cycling activities in the holidays to give children the confidence to ride to school.

School Streets

This great initiative is sure to boost cycling in the area.

We've allocated £140,000 from our Capital Budget to upgrade storage for cycles at some of our schools. 🚲

The Willink, The Downs, Denefield, Kennet, Little Heath, Westwood Farm, Calcot, and Hungerford will all benefit from the new secure and covered cycle storage units.

Cycling is a great way to start the day, boosts wellbeing and helps the environment too. We hope the new storage will make this active travel choice easier.

We'll be running a fantastic holiday programme for 10-14-year-olds at the Beansheaf Community Centre every Wednesday afternoon starting on 28 July.
