Helping women in their 40s in Preston & South Ribble rebuild energy, confidence & consistency, after years of starting again.

Most people go wrong with their health & fitness because they over commit.

They go from practically nothing to 'everything' even when there's zero evidence that you've been able to do 'everything' at once successfully before.

People set themselves up for failure by changing too much, especially when the problems have been there for a long time and the goal is quite far away.

Instead you need a strategy that sets you up for long-term success rather than quick-fixes.

It might not sound as sexy and it might not be what you wanna hear but less is more, especially when you can't stick to 'more' right away.

If you were my client, we'd focus on the big rocks, the basics, the things that are going to move the needle, but do it in a way that you can actually do, like 2-3 training sessions per week rather than 5...

Like a few thousands steps more rather than trying to 3x your daily average.

Like tidying up your eating structure without cutting everything out.

If you're someone who struggles with 'sticking to it', we can probably help you.

We're just a DM away.

It brings great pleasure to share that DoTheWorkHQ have sponsored Lostock Hall Blacks (Boys) Under 11's football team.

As a boy myself I (Dale) benefitted from local businesses supporting clubs that I played for, most notably for me personally - St Bernard's CMC of which my Dad managed, so it feels right to give back to the local community of which my business and my home is local to.

The boys came in for a pre-season fitness session this evening to wear the kit for the first time and prepare for the season ahead.

It's great to see young people commit to physical activity, especially in a team based competitive environment. I truly believe this is a really powerful environment to be part of in how it shapes our future.

Good luck to the lads this season, I look forward to following your results and your development closely.

It's time to πŸ™ŒπŸ’ͺ

I will die on this hill.

Shake diets are awful for sustainable weight loss and your relationship with food.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is in the 'pyramid'.

We welcomed two more members to the 300 Club recently at HQ.

As a result Hazel & Charlotte are now the proud owners of their 300 Club t-shirts.

A huge well done to both ladies and long may it continue πŸ‘

Usually it's the weekend that is the biggest blocker from people being successful with their weight loss goals.

It's fairly straightforward forward to do what needs to be done in the week and it's much harder at weekend.

But often the problem lies when we try to be perfect in the week which results in the 'f**k it' mentality at weekend.

There's too much disparity between the two.

I'm not saying never enjoy the weekends, but it's likely that what you're doing in the week is exactly what's causing the weekend 'I deserve this' mentality.

At DoTheWorkHQ, we teach our clients imperfect action, we teach our clients that life is to be lived but also that we can do that by creating that balance between what a week day and a weekend looks like when you're trying to lose weight, or even maintain it.

If you'd like help with your weekend challenges with weight loss,

send us a DM today with 'WEEKEND', we'd love to help.

A lot of women I speak with right now tell me how much weight they gained whilst on holiday,

many literally weigh themselves after they step back through the front door which in of itself is a terrible idea if you have a bit of a 'thing' with your weight.

But in this case I'm talking to those who went on holiday, didn't feel good about themselves before they went and then spent most of the holiday wishing they'd done more 'work' before it.

It usually results in quick-fix crash diet tactics following the holiday for a very short period of time before normal service resumes because it's literally impossible to keep the (crazy) expectations you set yourself.

At DoTheWorkHQ we would encourage you to slow down a tad, firstly the majority of that excess 'weight' will be water retention but nonetheless we would encourage you to instead just get into good habits that you can realistically stick to e.g. 2-3 really good training sessions each week rather than the 5 you won't keep up with.

We'd encourage you to set a step target you can actually do rather than the 12-15,000 per day you will not keep up.

As for nutrition, you don't need to eat only 'clean' stuff but you should probably just tidy up your habits with the aim of being consistent rather than perfect.

Any other extreme following a holiday (or any other time) is probably setting you up to fail which is why you probably never really get anywhere.

If you'd like sensible support that provides guaranteed results, we'd love to help you with that, we're just a DM away.

I recently found out that the average person on a takeaway app is ordering 3x per week and there was one particular user who had spent Β£37,000 in 4 years.

The 'cost for PT' is a factor for many people for sure, but a lot of my clients that join and stay often tell me they are saving money even after paying for coaching services due to tidying up their eating and drinking habits.

This is pure anecdotal evidence provided by my clients, but not only do they find the money to pay for their coaching and save, but that also doubles down their progress by working with me and cleaning up their eating.

Yvonne, a client of mine who has recently lost 33kg shares her thoughts in this video (full episode on our Spotify & YouTube).

It doesn't mean to never have takeaways but as the info states, many people are spending upwards of Β£200 per month on takeaways and convenience, not to mention booze.

What do you think? Does it come down to priority?

Of course there are people who are genuinely unable to find a spare penny after paying bills, which is a real issue, but there are plenty of people who are doing the above.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on a comment below...
