🖤 Rest in Peace, Andy Lawrenson 🖤

Unfortunately, Kirkham Juniors has a very sad announcement to make.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew (Andy) Lawrenson, our club Secretary, a much-loved and long-serving member of our football club.

Andy had been a committee member for the past eight years and was also a dedicated coach of our Under-15 Reds, a team he had been involved with since they were Under-6s, alongside Graham.

Two weeks ago, Andy was sadly diagnosed with stomach cancer. After a very short and devastating battle, Andy sadly passed away peacefully on Friday 28th August, surrounded by his loved ones.

Andy gave so much of his time, effort and commitment to Kirkham Juniors over the years, and his loss will be felt deeply throughout the whole club and by the many players, parents, coaches, committee members and friends whose lives he touched.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Amanda, his children, his family and all of Andy’s loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

This weekend, we will be holding a one minute applause before every game across the club in Andy’s honour, giving everyone the opportunity to come together and remember a truly special member of our Kirkham Juniors family.

Andy will never be forgotten and will always remain a much-loved part of the Kirkham Juniors.

Rest in peace Andy. ❤️💙

Fantastic debut from our new U9 Yellows. 🟡⚽️

A superb effort from everyone, especially those playing their first ever game. The players should all be really proud of themselves 👏🏻

The game finished as a draw which is a great achievement against an established team with some really strong players in it. And only having one sub meant lots of energy was needed all game!

2 excellent finishes from Harry M and a stonker of a free kick from Henry got us the goals but a number of outstanding saves from Ted earned him the Player of the Match! 🏆

Really impressive efforts both in attack and defence from Arthur and Jacob made a big contribution and made it difficult for the opposition and Leo was a constant threat with some really dangerous efforts from distance and was unlucky not to score!
