By joining the club you can expect a weekly fix of all things horsey, whether you choose to focus on growing and developing your skills during our weekly riding lessons or decide to give competing a go. We can help you develop new skills all while meeting friendly and like-minded people. We can offer you tailored lessons at amazing prices in both flat and jump as well as hacking, gymkhanas. Our competition teams trial once a year where we look for riders who can jump a course of 80cm and ride a walk, trot, canter dressage test. These team's represent the University within BUCS leagues. As well as all these riding opportunities our committee arrange regular socials ranging from themed purple Wednesday nights out to meals out and trips to events such as Olympia and Windsor Horse Show. There is always something for everyone!

Introducing your BUCS A Team for the 2026/27 season! 💜

The girls are excited to get going and start the new BUCS season. Bring on the first comp!! 🐎

Club Captain, Imogen, has stepped up to A-Team after a fabulous time competing for our B’s last year. As well as her committee role, she will be captaining the team to hopefully more success, and can’t wait to get back competing! 💜

Also stepping up is UPEC’s media officer, Poppy, who is ready for another BUCS season! Individually placing at most of her competitions last year, she’s ready to see what this year brings! 🥳

Ione, our Events Officer for this year has tons of experience within the club. She was Club Captain last year, and this will be her second year on the A Team! Last year, she helped her team win the Pool F championship league, even going to regionals. Safe to say that Ione is one to look out for 👀

Making her UPEC debut is Lauren! Although Lauren is new to the club, she isn’t new to the competition scene, and is ready to jump straight into the Equestrian BUCS league. We all can’t wait to see what she can do this year! 🐎

Day 1 of give me sport is complete✅🐴

Thank you to everyone who applied to do tasters this year, we are so happy to see the interest you all have in the club! 💜Unfortunately, due to the amount of people who applied, we could not give everyone a space, HOWEVER you don’t need to do a taster to join the club!🥳

We can’t wait to meet even more of you at our next session, trials and first themed social!🤠🐎
