GoShine Portishead

GoShine Portishead GoShine Sports Centre is a fully equipped sports facility for use by members of the community. Based at Gordano School & open to the general public, age 16+.

Fitness Suite, Classes & hire of sports facilities. The Community Trust took over from North Somerset Council in April 2011 and since the takeover significant improvements have been made to the indoor and outdoor facilities. The trust have also been fortunate to have been awarded funding from Sport England to improve disabled access to the facilities helping us to ensure our objective of providing sport for all at an afforable price. In the last three years the site has benefitted from a new astro pitch , 3G pitch, sports hall, fitness suite, community only changing rooms and reception area.

Reminder for Thursday 📅

It is Gordano School Open Evening this Thursday 24th September. Therefore, the site will be closed until 7:30pm, when the fitness suite reopens.

No classes will be running on Thursday, but come along to the Fitness Suite from 7:30pm - 10pm.

Zumba - Thursday 27th August

There will be no Zumba class tomorrow (Thursday 27th August) due to instructor holiday.

Despite our best efforts, we haven’t been able to find cover for this class, so see you all next Thursday 3rd September 😊

Sports Centre Closure Friday 21st August -

We have been informed by the school and contractors carrying out essential works on site that the Sports Centre will be required to close on Friday 21 August from 08:00 to 15:30 due to water works taking place on the school's main water supply.

During this period, the main water line serving the Sports Centre will be switched off, meaning there will be no running water available within the facility. This will affect all toilet and shower facilities and will also prevent access to drinking water.

As a result, the Sports Centre will be open during the following hours on this day:

- 06:30 to 08:00 -
- 15:30 to 21:00

Wake Up Workout 7:00 - 7:45
Kettlebells 17:45 - 18:30

Both class will still be running.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation while these essential works are completed.
