Game 3 of the 2026/27 South Wales Premier League season as we welcome Cardiff Hibernian to Rest Bay tomorrow.

It’s been a mixed start with one win and one defeat from our opening two fixtures, and the boys will be looking to respond positively and maintain our unbeaten start at home.

We started the season with three points at Rest Bay and will be looking to make home advantage count again tomorrow.

A great way to kick off the 2026/27 season with three points at Rest Bay!

It was an even and well-battled game between two competitive sides. We probably edged the possession and created the better of the chances, with Ethan Kettle eventually making the breakthrough in the 62nd minute. ⚽️

From there, the boys dug in, defended well and showed plenty of character to see the game out and secure a 1–0 win against one of the league favourites.

A really positive start, but plenty still to work on as we get the season underway.

F.C. Porthcawl Youth are looking for a goalkeeper to join our squad for the new season! ⚽💚

After a fantastic first season together, finishing 4th in the league, we’re ready to push on. This season we’ll be competing in the league and two cup competitions, and we’ve built a brilliant, competitive squad with one important position still to fill… between the sticks! 🧤

We’re looking for a youth goalkeeper who wants to be part of a team that works hard, competes, develops and, most importantly, enjoys playing football together.

At F.C. Porthcawl Youth, we play for each other. We win together. We lose together. We’re a team. 💚🖤

We train every Wednesday at 6pm at Rest Bay, and any interested goalkeeper would be more than welcome to come along, meet the coaches and players, and join us for a session.

Whether you’re an experienced goalkeeper looking for a new challenge or simply looking for the right team and environment to develop your game, we’d love to hear from you.

After a brilliant first season together, FC Porthcawl Youth are ready to go again.

This group exceeded expectations last season, competed with everyone put in front of them and showed exactly what can happen when a group of mates become a proper team.

Now we’re looking to add to the squad for the 2026/27 season.

HERE WE GO! 🟢⚫️ FC Porthcawl are delighted to announce the signing of Ethan Richardson .

A traditional centre-forward and a proper old-school number nine, Ethan joins the club after spells with Garw, Pontyclun and Tonyrefail, all in the South Wales Alliance League. During his career, Ethan also spent two years in the USA on a football scholarship, adding valuable experience to his game.

Ethan brings physical presence, an eye for goal and the type of centre-forward play that is becoming increasingly rare. He made his debut on Friday night and immediately made a great impact. His hold-up play, movement and work rate showed exactly what he brings to the team, and it was clear to see that FC Porthcawl have added a genuine number nine to an exciting young squad.

Manager said:

“We’re delighted to bring Ethan to the club. He’s a proper centre-forward and those types of players are becoming harder to find. He made a great impact on his debut and you could immediately see his quality and presence. His experience, including his time playing in the USA, will be a huge asset to this young squad. He’ll give us another dimension going forward and I’m really looking forward to working with him this season.”

Jahvel is an exciting young talent who joins the club after spending many years with Cornelly United. Blessed with tremendous pace, a keen eye for goal and excellent ability on the ball, he will be a fantastic addition to the squad.

Jahvel made his debut last night in a youthful FC Porthcawl side and immediately showed the qualities that make him such an exciting prospect. His arrival further strengthens an exciting young group, and everyone at the club are looking forward to seeing what this squad can achieve this season.

Manager said:

“Jahvel is a player we’ve admired for some time. He brings pace, quality and a real attacking threat to the side. He’s another young player with huge potential, and I’m excited to see him develop within this group. We have a young, hungry squad with plenty of ambition, and I believe there’s a lot to look forward to this season.”
