Our first team enter the Bob Radcliffe Cup this weekend with a first round home tie against Laurelvale Football Club. 2pm KO @ Pepperton Park.

Our Reserves get their season underway as they travel to Lord Lurgan Memorial Park to face Lurgan Celtic Fc in Reserve Division 1. 2:15pm KO.

There are no competitive fixtures for our teams this bank holiday weekend.

Normal service will be resumed next Saturday with our first team in cup action and our reserves getting their league campaign underway.

Sincere condolences from all at Bourneview Mill FC. Trevor has provided us and our visiting teams with chip butties after all our matches for many years, and the trip in to pick up the order will never be the same. Rest easy Trevor and thank you for your generosity!

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Trevor Henderson passed away peacefully on 23rd August, surrounded by his family after a short illness.

Trevor established The Port in 1995 with his wife Vivien, and for more than 30 years he was a familiar face to so many people in Portadown. He loved The Port, but most of all he loved the people who came through the door. Many customers became friends, and Trevor was always happiest having a chat with the people he had got to know along the way.

Anyone who knew Trevor will also know how much he loved his football. He was a devoted Portadown supporter and a lifelong Spurs fan, and football was never far from the conversation.

We know how many people in Portadown knew and loved Trevor, and we know many of you will have your own stories and memories of him.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Port over the last 30 years and, more importantly, for the friendship you showed Trevor along the way. A special thank you also to the dedicated staff, whose hard work and loyalty meant so much to Trevor.

He will be very deeply missed. ❤️

Trevor was the beloved husband of Vivien, dearly loved dad of Colleen (Alex) and Dillon (Meg), cherished grandad of Jayce and Diana, much loved brother of Noel, dear brother-in-law of Noreen, Malcolm (Trish) and Aldrina (Gary) also a loving uncle.

With 9 players out yesterday, our first team squad showed incredible strength in depth to put in a comfortable performance from start to finish at Pepperton Park.

The Mill men controlled the game and never looked in trouble, with some well-taken goals coming from Matthew Loney, James Robinson, Ethan McAtarsney and Jacob Taylor.

A special mention goes to Eamon Kelly who put in a Man of the Match performance in the middle of the park, controlling the game and driving the team forward throughout.

A great team performance and a well deserved win to progress to the next round of the Isaac Gilkinson Premier Cup.
