NOW THAT’S HOW YOU BUILD A TRY!

Patient build-up, then Chris Cousins spots the gap and absolutely tears through the defence!

Mikey Orr is right there in support and finishes it off for his SECOND try of the game!

The break. The support line. The finish.

How good was this one?!

TEAM DEBUTS | PORTADOWN RFC

Yesterday saw Ross Haughey, Denis Kerr, Sam Patterson and Matthew Maguire all make their debuts for Portadown.

All four settled into the side brilliantly and put in strong performances, playing their part in a great team display and a fantastic result on the road.

A brilliant start in Portadown colours and hopefully the first of many appearances to come.

MAN OF THE MATCH | NIALL DAVISON

Yesterday’s Man of the Match was Niall Davison after an excellent performance in our Men’s 1XV 38–5 win over Belfast Harlequins.

From his kicking game and sharp footwork to the way he controlled play throughout, Niall delivered a brilliant all-round performance and played a huge part in a fantastic team result.

A very well-deserved Man of the Match.

FULL-TIME | BELFAST HARLEQUINS 5–38 PORTADOWN 1XV

A brilliant performance on the road from our Men’s 1XV, coming away from Belfast with a convincing 38–5 victory over Harlequins.

A strong team display from start to finish, with plenty of hard work, physicality and quality rugby across the pitch. A great way to build momentum as we head into the season.

Massive thanks to everyone who travelled to support the lads!

A new face in the 1st XV coaching setup this season, Jordan Robinson joins the team as Skills Coach, bringing plenty of experience, knowledge and fresh ideas to the squad.

Jordan will focus on helping players sharpen their individual skills, improve the finer details of their game and continue developing both on and off the ball.

Currently working as a Rugby Development Officer with Ulster Rugby, Jordan brings valuable experience from the professional rugby environment along with a strong understanding of player development.

RJ Greenlee | 1st XV Team Manager

From pulling on the jersey to helping drive the team forward from the sidelines, RJ Greenlee remains a huge part of the 1st XV setup.

Now heading into his third season as Team Manager, RJ brings first-hand playing experience, plenty of passion and a real understanding of what the squad needs to perform at its best.

Whether it’s supporting the coaches, helping the players or making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, RJ is always ready to get stuck in.
