Shouldn’t affect us as our first league game is scheduled for 26th.

After careful consideration and consultation with clubs across England, the RFU has decided to delay the start of the competitive community game season until the week commencing Monday 21 September.

The RFU recognises this will be disappointing for clubs, players and volunteers who have been preparing for the new season, but the decision follows consideration of a range of factors. For full details please follow this link.

The hot weather has depleted numbers & those carrying injuries from last weeks game haven’t recovered yet.

• Grade 2 calf strain

Pre-season training is in full swing, this week he had our first full contact training session after a few weeks of pure fitness.

The first of three friendlies is away at Romsey next Saturday. Will be great to get back on the pitch & see how everyone is feeling, plus with new players joining the shield wall it will be great to see fresh faces pulling on the shirt & becoming a man of the moor.

Our only home friendly is in a fortnight as New Milton make the short trip for a reverse of last pre-seasons friendly when we traveled to them.

With the league starting the last Saturday in September there is plenty of time if you are looking to join a new club want to give rugby a go for the first time, or have been out of the game a while & looking to return.

We still have spaces on our shirt number sponsorship board. Just £100 for the season to support the club & to get regular social media shout outs.

Pre-season start next week & we still need a few more shirt number sponsors to help support the team & allow us to purchase the equipment we need.
