A junior side can only be successful with parents who are as committed and as passionate as their children.

The ones who get them to training, who drive them to matches, who sort out the kit, the snacks, the water bottle, the suncream, the subs! Who are a shoulder to cry on in tough times, and the first to applaud the successes. Who invest their time, their energy and their emotions into cricket, even if they themselves have never picked up a bat in their life.

Thank you to all of the parents behind our incredibly talented juniors, the club owes you a debt of gratitude.

They now go on to the National Final to play Cavaliers and Carrington CC on Saturday 12 September at Lords

Club stalwart John MacDiarmid has just been announced as Dorset Cricket's Official of the Year for the 2026 Cricket Collective Awards.

John has been part of the club for decades and is regularly seen umpiring for our 2nd and 3rd XI, and very occasionally for our 5th XI. He has turned up to umpire some of our crunch junior games and is also our club safeguarding officer, a role that he fulfils with professionalism and compassion.

Well done John!

A truly outstanding achievement as these brilliant young cricketers shine on the biggest stage. They now enter the National rounds as one of just four sides from the entire country.

Yes, you read that right, the last four IN THE COUNTRY! 🥳

The entire club is behind you and we couldn’t be any prouder!

WHAT. A. DAY!

Our youngsters did the club proud as we collected a host of silverware at the Dorset Junior Cup Finals Day.

Our Under 11 Girls had already been brilliant in getting to the final, and were pipped to the trophy by deserved winners Verwood on the day, but what a fantastic effort!

Our Under 13 Girls bowled their hearts out to restrict Winton to 100, and knocked off the total 3 down in 14.1 overs to win this inaugural competition. Amazing work girls!

And finally our Under 10s recovered incredibly well from 15 for 3 to post 189 before bowling out Bournemouth Lions for 77 to retain the trophy that we won last year. Unbelievable!

So many excellent memories from such a wonderful day's cricket. We can all be so proud of our juniors and their hard work and dedication that has brought them such amazing success.
