Dunkerswell Southern Championship 🏁

Well, what a weekend! A lot of lows, but plenty learnt from it, and we came away from the final on a high. 💪

Saturday – Test & Qualifying
Ethan struggled, and none of us could quite understand what was going on. But he stayed resilient, kept plugging away and never gave up.
Qualified P15 out of 21.

Sunday – Race Day
A challenging day. We had engine problems in the Pre-Final and unfortunately had a DNS. We then put our practice engine on for the Final and hoped for the best. Results below

From P20 to P9 in the Final was a fantastic drive from Ethan. He dug deep, kept fighting and finished the weekend on a real high.

What a great two days at Clay Pigeon for Round 7! Ethan showed great consistency throughout the weekend, especially when it mattered on race day.

A clean sweep across the heats and a well-deserved P1 in the final. A strong weekend from start to finish, with Ethan putting together some really consistent racing and pace.

🏁 Forest Edge Championship – Round 6 🏁

Saturday's practice went really well, with Ethan showing consistent pace and looking comfortable on track. Things were looking positive heading into race day. 👊

Sunday morning, however, brought plenty of drama. Just as we were about to head out for practice, the kart refused to start. 😩 We missed the session and genuinely thought our race weekend was over before it had even begun. Thankfully, after some frantic work in the paddock, the issue was traced to the starter motor brushes. Problem solved, panic over, and we were back in business! 🔧💪

🏁 Final: Started P3 ➡️ 🥉 Finished P3

A great recovery after such a stressful start to the day, with some strong drives and another podium finish to round off the weekend. 👏

Ethan was on fire from practice right through race day, showing fantastic pace all weekend.

Heat 1: P6 to P1 (fastest lap)
Heat 2: P2 to P1 (fastest lap)
Heat 3: P11 to P3
Final: P1 - DNF

After pole position for the final, Ethan had warned there was an issue with the kart after Heat 3, but unfortunately it wasn't resolved. The engine cut out on the rolling lap, but he managed to restart it and get back onto the front row just before the green flag. He held onto P1 for the opening lap before the kart completely cut out, forcing him to retire and watch the rest of the race from the side. We have found out today it was the battery.

Luck plays a big part in motorsport, and this weekend it wasn't on our side. The positives are Ethan's outstanding driving throughout the weekend and the fact he has moved from 9th to 2nd in the championship. We'll be back stronger next time!

FEKC Round 4 Race Report

Saturday's practice was held in wet conditions, and we saw some great improvements from Ethan. Wet weather isn't usually his strongest area, but he drove really well throughout the sessions and continued to build his confidence on track.

As always, you never know what race day will bring, but Ethan did himself proud and delivered an outstanding performance.
