I caught myself doing the exact thing I coach men out of.
Standing there looking at a group of women and thinking…
Is now actually the right moment?
Who in the group should I open first?
Do I go big energy or keep it chilled?
What’s the smartest way into the group?
All of those thoughts sound strategic.
But really, I was just delaying the decision.
And that’s the trap with overthinking.
You can make hesitation sound intelligent.
Eventually I realised the important decision wasn’t:
“How should I approach this group?”
It was:
“Who am I going to be when I walk over there?”
So I decided.
Not just to approach.
I decided to change identity.
To be the bringer of fun.
The guy who walks into an interaction intending to add something to it rather than extract a result from it.
The guy who doesn’t need the perfect opening.
The guy who’s willing to look stupid.
The guy who’s having too much fun to spend five minutes analysing whether the moment is perfect.
The zero-f**ks-given version of me.
And once I made that decision, the approach was easy.
That’s something I’ve realised more and more:
Sometimes the biggest transformation doesn’t happen after 100 approaches.
Sometimes it happens in the two seconds where you refuse to obey the old version of yourself.
You see the hesitation.
You recognise it.
And you act as the man you’re trying to become instead.
Action isn’t only how you build confidence.
Sometimes action is how you build a new identity.

“She either likes me or she doesn’t.”
I hear this from men all the time.
And technically, you’re right — you cannot control whether a woman likes you.
But that doesn’t mean you have zero influence over the experience she has with you.
Your energy matters.
Your tonality matters.
Whether you listen or wait for your turn to speak matters.
Whether you interview her or create something playful matters.
Whether you communicate attraction or hide it matters.
Two men can say the exact same opener and create completely different reactions.
That’s why I don’t teach men to manipulate women into liking them.
I teach them to become aware of how they’re actually being experienced.
Because if every interaction ends with:
“Well… I guess there just wasn’t chemistry.”
You might be leaving something learnable entirely to chance.
And the hardest part?
You can’t see your own blind spots while you’re inside the conversation.
That’s why we practise at Crush Lab.
Run the interaction. Get instant feedback. Correct it. Run it again.
Stop hoping you naturally get it right when you meet the woman you actually want.

Two guys. Same party. Same opportunities.
Completely different night.
I met two Indian guys sitting in the corner of a party and asked them both if they wanted to improve their dating lives.
The first said no.
He was already talking to women online and believed that when they eventually met, either there would be chemistry or there wouldn’t.
Nothing he could really do about it.
The second guy said:
“I’d like to meet more women. I just don’t know how.”
So instead of giving him another dating tip, I coached him right there at the party.
Immediately we found problems he didn’t know he had.
His opener was fine.
His delivery wasn’t.
Then we fixed his delivery and discovered the next problem: he wasn’t listening deeply enough to make the conversation about her.
We corrected that too.
Then came the important bit:
He actually took action.
I gave him a female wing and sent him into a group of four women.
By the fourth interaction, the woman he wanted to meet was already talking to another guy.
He could have stopped.
He didn’t.
He joined the interaction, created his own connection and walked back later absolutely buzzing after exchanging contact details with her.
You could already see the identity shift.
Meanwhile, the first guy had watched the whole thing.
And this is why information isn’t enough.
You can watch videos.
Memorise scripts.
Read books.
But you can’t see your own tonality, delivery, listening or conversational habits without feedback and practice.
That’s why we created Tuesday’s Crush Lab.
Come practise the interaction before you’re standing in front of the woman you actually want.
Get feedback.
Correct it.
Run it again.
Then take it into your real life.
