🔴⚫️ FULL TIME AT THE HOUSE OF PAIN ⚫️🔴

🏆 Bernard Martin Cup
🏟️ House of Pain
⚽️ Non Pol 8 – 0 Pontyclun Development

What a night @ the HOUSE OF PAIN for the Red & Black army!

Coming in off the back of a solid win against Trelewis, the gaffers made 5 changes to the starting XI—proving the unbelievable depth in this squad right now. We knew we were in for a proper cup battle against a sharp Pontyclun Development side who’ve started their season flying, and the opening 40 minutes was a proper end-to-end clash.

While the visitors tried to hit the channels, our backline stood firm, and it was only a matter of time before the pressure told. In the 41st minute, Jayden floated in a pinpoint ball for Dylan "Reidy" Reid to unleash a stunning volley to break the deadlock. That opened the floodgates, with Reidy grabbing another two quickfire goals before the break—both teed up by Gowen—to seal a first-half hat-trick! 💥

The second half was pure dominance. The boys turned the screw at the House of Pain, adding five more unanswered goals:
⚽️ Jayden getting on the scoresheet once again
⚽️ Fin making an instant impact off the bench
⚽️⚽️⚽️ ...and Reidy bagging another three to round off a
DOUBLE HAT-TRICK (6 GOALS)! 🎩🎩

A special shoutout to Gowen, who finished the evening as the ultimate provider with 4 assists, and to our defensive unit for securing our 2nd clean sheet in 3 games. 🧱🧤

⭐ Man of the Match: Dylan Reid – 6 goals, and unplayable from minute 1 to 90.

Thank you to the supporters who came down to get behind the boys! Onto the next round!

We had a very special visitor at our FA Welsh Cup game against Trelewis Welfare this weekend!

We were contacted via the TERV League by John Stancombe, a groundhopper from Lowestoft in North Suffolk who has been travelling to football grounds across Great Britain and Ireland for almost 40 years.

Rhydyfelin Non Pol FC became an incredible ground number 1,905! 👏⚽

For the past 20 years, John has been totally blind and travels to games by public transport, relying on the home club to help him get to and from the nearest station and provide someone to describe the action throughout the game.

As soon as John got in touch, our committee were determined to make sure we could make it happen. Our coaches arranged to pick John up from the train station and take him back afterwards, while Ian Pitman took on commentary duties for the afternoon – which was probably the perfect job for him considering he can talk for Wales 😂🎙️

John had left home at 5:30am to make the journey to Rhydyfelin, so after a long day we made sure he headed home with four cans for the journey too 🍻😂

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome John to our club and we're so glad we could play a small part in his incredible groundhopping journey.

Our motto “Everywhere We Go” seems pretty fitting for John as well! ❤️🖤

Thanks for visiting us, John – we hope ground 1,905 was one to remember!

❤️🖤 FAW CUP QR2: A Red-and-Black Masterclass at the House of Pain 🖤❤️

On Saturday afternoon, Rhydyfelin Non-Pol FC welcomed higher-division opponents Trelewis Welfare FC to the House of Pain for our highly anticipated FAW Cup Qualifying Round 2 clash. Cup ties against teams from higher tiers always demand an extra gear, but from the opening whistle, the lads laid down a marker and turned in one of our most ruthless, complete performances to date, sealing an emphatic 6-1 victory.

The tone was set right from the start with high tempo and unrelenting pressure. In the 9th minute, Dylan Reid unlocked the visitors' defence with a pinpoint delivery, allowing Iauan Gowen to break the deadlock with a opportunist finish. Just two minutes later, Reid was at it again, turning provider for Jayden Granelli, who showed lethal instinct to double the advantage inside 11 minutes.

Non-Pol remained in total control across the pitch, moving the ball with purpose and denying the visitors any foothold in the game. Past the half-hour mark, roles reversed as Granelli fed Reid, who capped an incredible individual opening period by slotting home our third in the 31st minute. Trelewis pulled a goal back on 34 minutes in contentious fashion, bundling the ball over the line following what looked a clear infringement on our keeper, Nifty. Rather than letting the momentum shift, the boys responded with absolute composure. Deep into first-half stoppage time (45+3’), Jamie Fulker slipped a great ball into Granelli, who made no mistake in restoring our commanding three-goal cushion right before the break.

Carrying a 4-1 lead into the second half, the work rate never dropped. In the 56th minute, the Fulker-Granelli combination struck again, as Fulker set up Granelli to clinically seal his well deserved hat-trick and put the tie beyond doubt.

Even when adversity struck in the 83rd minute with Fulker receiving a second yellow card, our ten men showed incredible spirit, shape, and fitness, suffocating the opposition and looking like we had an extra man on the field. That resilience was rewarded in the 85th minute when Carl Blacker floated a sublime ball over the top for Scott Rogers, who finished with absolute class to cap off a stunning 6-1 triumph.

A huge congratulations to Iauan Gowen, who was named Man of the Match by the Trelewis management after a tireless, commanding display. Credit to the entire squad and coaching staff for a massive statement win that sends us marching into the next round of the FAW Cup with serious momentum.

Thank you to everyone who came out to back the boys at the House of Pain.

Red and black. One club. One team. One massive result. ONE PEOPLES CLUB!

Up the Non-Pol! ❤️🖤EVERYWHERE WE GO!
