August training camp 2

Todays vaulting competition training day has been one of my favourites competitions
Fantastic to see the older vaulters (Taran Catrin Isabella and Zara) judging classes under the watchful eye of Andrew Williamson. All of the music 🎶 and commentating was done by vaulters age between 8 and 12 and we didn’t have a single error in the playing of the music for the whole comp. Aled organised all of the scoring with help from Yasmin and tuition from Janet. Unfortunately I managed to dislocate my toes the day before so thanks to Suzi Cusick for lunging Bruce for the day and Leah took on the majority of the rest of the lunging, Zoe lunged Toby and Rupert. Catrin had her first go at competition lunging with woody in Intro A. I did manage Sion but that was it. A few vaulters had a go at classes they wouldn’t normally be in and some tried their first competition.

Judging the whole competition. It is lovely to have a club where everyone pulls together and as it does take a village to run a competition so many thanks to all who sorted the horses, 🐴 the vaulters, the arena set up (the kids did an amazing job of the flowers 💐) the timing, writing, first aid (none required I’m pleased to say) and even sorting Teas and Coffee. ☕️
