Morning all,

Can we please remind everyone to pick up after your dogs? We’ve had a few complaints recently about dog poo not being picked up, and during this morning's opening and morning checks today, we found several piles that had been left behind.

There are plenty of poo bags and bins around the field, so there really is no excuse. Please make sure you clean up after your dog and help us keep the fields clean and enjoyable for everyone.

We also found a destroyed tennis ball in the Chill Field this morning. Just a reminder that tennis balls are not permitted in either field. This is clearly stated on the signs at the gates, on our website, and in the emails you receive.

This rule is in place for your dogs’ safety. Tennis balls can be easily destroyed, and dogs can swallow the discarded pieces, which can cause serious intestinal blockages and potentially require surgery. Unfortunately, we know this first-hand, as one of our own dogs used to eat tennis balls and required numerous operations as a result.

Tennis balls can also be damaging to dogs’ teeth, as repeatedly chewing on the felt covering can gradually wear the teeth down.

Please help us keep the fields safe, clean and enjoyable for everyone — and please leave tennis balls at home. Thank you! 🐾

I can personally recommend Anything is Pawsable, as they helped us with one of our own dogs.

It’s really interesting to learn what’s actually causing the reactions and, more importantly, understand how you can help them. It made such a difference for us.

🐾 BEYOND REACTING IS HERE! 🐾

Ever looked at your dog mid-meltdown and thought…

“But WHY are you doing this?!” 😩

There is SO much more going on beneath the bark, lunge, growl or over-excitement — and understanding that why can completely change how we help our dogs.

Beyond Reacting – A Workshop for Dog Parents is for owners who want to get a little geeky and understand what’s actually happening under the surface.

We’ll be talking about stress, thresholds, trigger stacking, body language, pain, reinforcement, the brain behind behaviour and LOADS more — but in normal human language. No science degree required. 😂

This isn’t about judging your dog or telling you everything you’re doing wrong.

It’s about giving you those “OH! THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!” moments and helping you leave feeling more confident about the dog standing at the end of your lead.

As the nights are starting to draw in and the days are getting shorter, we will gradually be reducing our opening hours.

From tomorrow, 1st September, the Activity Field will close at 7:00pm, and the Chill Out Field will close at 7:15pm.
