We are sad to announce the departure of Club Captain, Keira Harris.
Keira has been at the club for 13 years, making her way from the youth age groups, all the way up to the senior ladies team where she made her debut aged just 16.
She has been a massive part of this team, helping us secure promotion to the second tier and helping us stay there for the past two seasons.
Everyone at the club would like to say a massive thank you to Keira for her time here. We would also like to wish her good luck in the future for her next step in senior football ✨

We are looking to start a second group of Pontardawe ASD Football Academy aimed at younger children and we are looking to gauge interest to see how many families in the area would be interested in this group.
Our current group is for children aged 7-16 years old and our provisional plans for the new group would be that this would be for children 5-8 years old - with there being a little overlap as some parents might prefer their children around 7 or 8 years old to be in a younger group.
Depending on numbers we would look to train on a Friday evening between 5pm and 6pm on the 3G pitch (at Pontardawe Leisure Centre) at the same time as our current group (but in a different area of the pitch). This might be of use if any of our current players have siblings that would like to attend.
I would think a shorter training session (30 - 40 minutes) might be an idea for the younger group as an hour can be quite a long session for the younger ones. If your child is older than 5-8 years old but you feel they would benefit by being / starting in our younger group then this is something we are more than happy to consider too.
