As well as the academic side we also have a great social calendar ranging from nights out on the town to inter-society sports leagues to help you get to know your course mates and get the most out of your time in Plymouth. New this year is the "Lady Engineers' Society" - our pilot night last year went down a storm, so watch this space....

Socials

This year we have a programme of fortnightly socials for everyone to get together and meet students from other years - it's always helpful to have contacts when you're looking for a job or struggling with that piece of coursework! These range from traditional nights out and barbecues to a trip to every engineer's mecca... yup, we're going to Diggerland! Events

We have a diverse programme of talks from practising engineers - upcoming speakers range from graduate structural engineers to company directors and CEOs. These events provide an opportunity to start forming your professional network, and to hear about the industry and potential career paths from people who are currently at the centre of the industry. On the practical side, we run site visits to local construction projects to ensure that everyone has a chance to see how stuff really works.
