💚MEET THE TEAM💚

I’ve been in the fitness industry since 2005 and am just about to celebrate 20 years as a PT and pole instructor!
I started pole dancing when I was studying Psychology and Criminal justice at Uni, although I didn’t follow that route for my career, I certainly use a lot of what I learnt working in this industry helping people to improve their physical health and boost them mentally and spiritually.

I have worked in big gyms but their business models didn’t match my ethos, I also didn’t like being told to turn the music down and not socialise with clients! So I took a big risk and started up my own business in 2009.

I love all elements of pole, from crazy tricks and combos to sensual heels dance. I wanted to create a space at the studio where people can relax, be themselves and explore movement and sensuality in a safe and judgement free zone. I think I might have done it!

Outside of the studio I have two absolutely amazing children and a mental spaniel that I love to spend time with. We are a very chill and child led family which means loads of time outside, in the woods, on the beach, having picnics and getting filthy.
I love running, eating out, eating in, paddle boarding, singing in the car, dirty talking and crying with laughter with my girlfriends, spending as much time as possible with my kids. Generally an all round lover girl!

Come to me if you want fun classes, achey muscles, cute combos, lots of new friends, tea and biscuit breaks and you don’t mind your instructor swearing a lot!

Alex

I’ve been tangling myself around a pole for around 7yrs now, and I absolutely love it! Pole is my space to train, to feel strong, graceful and sexy (still working on the graceful!). Every week is my time to play, push myself and step away from the hustle that is my daily life.

Outside the studio, I do many things- I run flourish with fox as a life coach, personal trainer and counsellor, where I support women in 1-1 sessions, workshops and weekend retreats designed to spark growth and confidence. I am also the fitness manager at MDL Fitness, so movement and empowerment are woven into everything I do.

When I’m not coaching or poling, you’ll find me outside - in the sea, wandering around mountains or chasing waterfalls. And if there’s a medal involved I’m usually keen. I’ve run 4 marathons, 2 ultra marathons, and countless half’s, hilarious because I do not enjoy running (that’s how much I like medals).

Pole brings me joy, lots of laughter and bruises, and I can’t wait to share all of that with you!💛🦊

Hi, I'm Julia 😉

I've been coming to Jo's studio for about 7 years. I've been poling before, but only here I found my true passion for sensual dance both pole and chair.

How did I get into crazy chair tricks? I was extremely bored during lockdown and entered myself into couple chair challenges where I was learning more and more about art of acro chair.

Outside of the studio, I mainly stroll around the hospital in my (little) heels supporting medicines storage and automation projects, releasing prescriptions and training stuff.

When I'm not bossing around in hospital pharmacy or doing something stupid crazy in the studio, you most likely to find me reading silly amounts, drinking coffee somewhere or exploring somewhere outdoors.

I absolutely adore the studio and community within. It's so much fun and joy to teach you all and train alongside of you all.
