Inspired Swimming

Hi all.
Thank you all for your continued support this year. I really enjoy the end of term, as it’s a chance to see all the skills the children have learnt and celebrate their stages and distances. Thank you also to those who kindly brought me an end‑of‑year gift — I’m very grateful.
For those who have now finished lessons with me, I’ve really enjoyed teaching you and wish you well as you continue your swimming journey.
If you haven’t already done so, please pay for the certificates. This payment should be made separately from the renewals payment.
All details for September are in the renewals email and if you haven’t received one then please let me know. payments for the new block are due ASAP.
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be organising classes for September. If you are waiting for a space for a sibling, I will do my best to fit them in. I will be in touch over the summer if you have requested a change of day or time, once I know where the gaps in lessons are.
I hope you all have a great summer and that the children enjoy the water in some capacity — and that you feel a little safer with them too. I’ll be in contact throughout the summer.

Hi everyone, I’m Ian Kent and I run Inspired Swimming at Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching many children from the village and surrounding areas over the last eight years.

My lessons focus on strong technique so children become confident, capable swimmers, something that really matters living by the sea. Classes are small (maximum of six), fun, and tailored to each child’s way of learning.

Lessons are for children aged 4+ and run Monday–Thursday between 3.45pm and 6.45pm, with each session lasting 30 minutes.

Renewal emails have been sent. Please check in boxes and junk for it. If you haven’t received an email then please let me know. If you no longer require your space or need a change a time or day please let me know ASAP so I can fill that space quickly.

If you are interested in lessons and have inquired before and are on my waiting list, please do send me a new message with your most up to date availability as I have spaces now available that may suit you where I didn’t have availability before. I have scope to make changes to lessons and start a new beginner group if needed.

Hi everyone.

Lessons start back this week and I still have availability for some new swimmers. I have limited spaces for beginners throughout the week, and it would depend on your availability for times and days if I have space. I do have several spaces throughout the week, especially on a Tuesday for swimmers who can swim but need help with their technique and stamina. Again please let me know your availability and I can see if i can get you in. Please send me a direct message on Facebook or an email at [email protected]. Below are my lesson details.

My lessons are Monday to Thursday after school between 3.45 and 6.45. They are for children 4 and over and run with the school timetable. I have a maximum of six in a class and we do group work as well as 1-2-1 bits within the class so that each child can learn at their own pace. Please can you let me know what times and days you are available, along with the swimmers ability and a telephone number, and I will get back to you if I have something that may be suitable for you.

Hi all hope everyone has had a great Christmas and new year. Lessons start back tonight. I have checked with Bovisand and the roads are all clear of ice leading to the pool so we are all good to go. Look forward to seeing everyone again this week. Thanks, Ian

Hi everyone. My name is Ian Kent and I am a swimming teacher who runs swimming at Bovisand lodge holiday park. I have had the pleasure to teach many of the children from the village and the surrounding area for the last 7 years. I focus on technique so that the children are strong confident swimmers, which I think is very important for where we live. The classes are a maximum of 6 children in a class and I always try and make lessons fun, and try and teach the children in their own way within a group setting. Lessons are for children 4+ (3.5 if they have had preschool lessons) and run Monday to Thursday 3.45 to 6.45 and are half hour each. For further details please message me at [email protected]
