What other signs are they that you shouldn’t play someone for money?

I was lucky enough to play the Church Course today and I genuinely believe this is the greatest course in the south west… here’s why:

The welcome & reception team: I’ve never had a warmer welcome or even phone call with a golf club, it was so good, after I spoke to them over the phone this week I had to text a friend who plays there to tell them I didn’t know golf clubs could be be that welcoming 🤣

The course, this one is obvious but the place is incredible, sea views links turf, hand striped greens, nothing out of place. 10/10 no notes.

The sausage roll at the turn, hands down the nicest sausage roll I’ve ever eaten (I’ve sampled a few in my time)

The 10th hole, simply class, easy hole really too 🤥

The bar & club house, first class service, comfortable, serving food well into the evening, great drinks and table service (felt like royalty 👸 )

The only complaint and thing that ruined my day slightly… loosing to & his partner 🥲

Putter aim being right for the player is a massive thing to consider when choosing a putter.

If you can’t aim your current putter well, you might start making compensations in your stroke that lead to massive technical problems 🫣

Are you into your data 🤓

Data says what we do but not why we do it, it doesn’t know us on a human level, one of the best parts about my job is bridging the gap between what happens and why it happens and then looking how to change the outcome and subsequent data!

Greens in regulation is a an area I always think golfers should put more effort into tracking, if you can hit a bad drive or miss a fairway and hit the green in reg… it almost doesn’t matter that you missed the fairway!

I would assume 90 percent of your well hit chip shots end up short of the hole?

If they do it might be a sign to drop down in loft to let that ball react differently on the dance floor 🕺🏼

How good is your recovery game? I think it’s inevitable we will find ourselves in tough spots so we need to be good and getting out of them.

Both these shots were hit to under 20ft !

I’m a little bit of a club collector 🤥 and one club I think every golfer should have is a utility iron that they can use in the summer, it’s great when the fairways start to firm up and you can play the running game, there easy to keep in play and they can be added in lofts from 5 iron to 1 iron 👀
