Last weekend, we celebrated some of our awesome Colts players 18th birthdays following the match against Brixham.

This is a good opportunity to thank them for their support over the years with some of them having played for OPMs since U5s. It will be great to celebrate with them and provide this fantastic memento of an engraved pint glass for them to keep as they continue their OPM journey.

A huge Thankyou to each and every Colts player who has made this such a brilliant experience and to the Colts coaches and support team who have marked this occasion so specially. Well done all.

We look forward to many of these lads donning a Seniors jersey in the future but for now it’s full focus on this Colts season.
Up the Os 💪👍🏉

3 Big games this weekend for a variety of reasons as we look forward to a cracking Vice Presidents day.

We start at 13:00 with our first run out of the Jesters as they look to make their mark on the season and will be kitted out in Centenary kit for the big day. A young University of Plymouth RFC Freshers who always play entertaining rugby.

Next up will be the awesome Colts who face Totnes RFC Colts as they look for their first win of the season. There have been many great battles against these guys and we’ll expect the same from this young squad bursting with talent on the field.

Finally the Ones will close the rugby with what is expected to be a great game against Tavistock Rugby Club. Both games were very close last season and the boys have trained hard to put right the wrongs from last week and look to finish the day with a victory.

All of this as well as a 12:00 welcome for VPs day means it’ll be a great day of rugby, friendships and some good ships throughout.
Catering and refreshments available for the clubhouse and let’s make it a great day.
Up the Os 👍🏉👏💪

🏉🏉🏉 KGV UPDATE 🏉🏉🏉

As highlighted in previous communications, following the FA grant being signed off for the main rugby pitch at KGV Fields, the drainage work has now begun with the heras fencing taking shape and the initial machinery being brought onto the site.

Due to the nature of this work, this means that the car park will only have two thirds of its normal access available and the wider section around the pitch will initially be boundaried off to all.

On completion of the initial works, the car park will be made available and heras fencing moved closer to the pitchside for the second phase of the project.

We understand that this will cause some disruption to all users but we ask for your patience and understanding. Please ensure that you park using the markings provided to ensure maximum capacity for cars and use alternative modes of travel wherever possible.

We look forward to the next part of the project being completed in a timely fashion so we can progress with the ongoing works to support the rugby club and wider community.

We thankyou for your support in this matter.

What a fantastic effort from our girls squads putting into practice the strong pre season that’s taken place.

Brilliant to see the U16s with such a fantastic victory and this close knit group will only go from strength to strength this season 🏉💪👍

A first rugby match ever for our U12s showed heart, effort and determination as they look to build their squad.

Well done to both squads and we’re looking forward to the season ahead. If you’d like to be involved, please drop us a message.

A tough day for both Seniors and Colts yesterday with both results ending in defeat.

The new look squad that headed up to Exmouth IIs was certainly ready to go and after an even first half, the lads went in 7-5 up following an excellent Alex Jewell finish and conversion by Matt Smale.

Unfortunately that’s where it ended for the lads as set piece proved difficult and Exmouth were able to pull away in the latter stages for victory.

Plenty of positives though and with more new faces expected for next weekend, there is a good confidence and enthusiasm in the camp.

The Colts had a similar issue with last minute changes to personnel and facing a very well drilled and physical Brixham side who will challenge for the top this season.

A difficult first half saw them encounter a Brixham team in top form but a strong response in the second half saw them get on the board from a good Marley Croft finish and Corey Millard conversion and have numerous chances that were just out of reach for further scores.

Still a good learning curve for the lads and again more to add to the squad next week as they look for their first victory.

We move onto VP day on Saturday 3rd October with 3 home games of Jesters, Colts and then Ones so looking forward to seeing everyone there. 👍👏💪🏉

Here are your teams for tomorrow as we look to start the season with a bang 👍👏💪

We start with the long trip to Exmouth Rugby Football Club II as we look to face a team who always provide a good challenge and were very excited to be facing. With multiple new faces on the field, a new coach and a new style of play, it’s going to be an excellent first league match.
Congratulations to Alex Jewell who leads the team and we’re looking forward to the new look team taking their stand.

Our Colts welcome Brixham Rugby Club Colts and they are full of energy, enthusiasm and looking to further develop their game. With our new first year colts and new signings adding to the core group of players, it is going to be another great season and they’re relishing the challenge.

Both teams are looking forward to a great day of rugby and two Ws on Saturday. Up the Os 👏🏉💪👍
