Raiders are back in competitive action today for the first time in over 5 months as we hit the road to newly promoted Gloucester Kings.

"Being invited into the Trophy and to be asked to compete is an honour but it's where we want to be and while we're up against some heavy hitters over the next few weeks, we're going to leave everything on the floor as we will in every BCB Trophy game.

At our re-launch in 2023 I spoke about the importance of rebuilding Raiders and centering future teams around the next generation of local players as essential to the evolution of the club as we were once famous for.

This tournament will be the first big step towards establishing that goal and a fantastic proving ground for the young guys who've been so impressive in pre-season. I can't wait, let's go!!" - Ross Mackenzie.

Lombe Mumba Rejoins Raiders for 26/27 ✅

Starting Year 4 as a Raider is lighteningly fast Lombe who is back for the new season.

Lombe goes straight into the squad for Sunday's BCB Trophy opener this weekend.

🏆 First up, in just over a week at The Life Centre, Raiders return in brand new Championship Trophy action against the BCB's Bristol Flyers, the first formal meeting between the two organisations since 2021.

Then from October, we turn our attention to National League competition with familiar foes, renewed rivalries & unfinished on-court business.

It's another big season for the club and with you - the Green Machine cheering us on loudly, we'll be pushing hard to make it one to remember making The Life Centre one of the toughest venues for a visiting team in the NBL.

Big thanks to Solent for hosting us for a tough but fun run out in Southampton on Saturday.

Our young team with a number of senior debut performances managed a marathon 8 quarters of basketball in under 3 hrs but we're very proud of our boys for going out and battling hard.

The future is very promising for Plymouth basketball.

The action starts this weekend in the BCB Trophy on the road against Gloucester Kings this Sunday.

Incoming! Jordan Boyd is a Raider ✅🏀

The 6'4" Combo Guard is the latest addition to Raiders ahead of the 26/27 season.

The former US based Jordan has been with the team and working hard in recent weeks ahead of the BCB Trophy.

Jordan had this message -

"I am excited to play for and contribute to such a prominent team as Raiders and I'm thankful for the opportunity. I can't wait to see everybody at home soon. "

With a new look to the squad this season, Raiders continue to add strength in depth across all positions to cope with the busy Autumn schedule.

Pius Gikunoo is Gaz Law's Next Summer Signing ✅

The 6' 7" Forward makes the switch from London to Plymouth and returns to familiar territory as a former Raider and Marjon University Elite student.

Our new signing arrives this week and heads straight into pre-season, and Pius had this message;

"What's up Raiders!! I'm excited to be back and can't wait to join up with my new teammates, it's going to be fun.

We're all aiming to get the City back on the elite basketball map, and I'm here to do my bit. There's work to be done and I can't wait to see you at the first home game in a few weeks, so let's lock in!" 🏀
