Local Wembury resident, Ivar Hellberg will be presenting his new book ‘Tales of the Mewstone - a thousand years of stories of the famous island’ at The Club from midday this Sunday 12th July.

THURSDAY 26TH QUIZ NIGHT – IN SUPPORT OF THE NATIONAL COASTWATCH INSTITUTION
This week’s quiz host is Ralf Whitworth, raising funds on behalf of the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI).
The quiz has a nautical theme, a winner’s trophy up for grabs, and there will also be raffle prizes on the night.
The National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide vital eyes and ears along our coastline, monitoring radio channels and visibility to help keep people safe at sea. When someone gets into difficulty, NCI works closely with HM Coastguard to alert and direct the appropriate rescue services.
We would love to see a strong turnout for this event, so please do come along, enjoy a fun and friendly evening, and show your support for the fantastic work of the NCI. It’s a great opportunity to help raise much-needed funds, support a vital local service, and show what a welcoming and supportive club we are.
