☀️⚽️ THE PERFECT WAY TO CAP OFF AN INTENSE SUMMER! ⚽️☀️

What a summer these girls have had! 💙

We’ve packed SO much into this summer!
Weekly friendlies, a giant slip ‘n’ slide, inflatable park, and numerous tournaments including Manstow, Manadon, Elm, Harper’s… just to name a few! 😅⚽️

We’ve had kickabouts at Central Park, a penalty shootout with the Easter Bunny 🐰😂 and so, so much more.

It’s been busy. It’s been intense. It’s sometimes been absolutely exhausting… but most importantly, we’ve had an amazing summer together! 🥰

And what better way to finish it than a full day tournament, competing against all boys’ teams, some seriously tough sides! and giving it absolutely everything. 💪🏼

We were knocked out 3–2 in the semi-final of the Harpers Summer Plate, but the girls were fantastic and gave us everything they had right until the final whistle. 👏🏼

After everything they’ve done this summer, I honestly couldn’t be prouder of them. ❤️

They’ve played, battled, laughed, made memories, grown in confidence and, most importantly, had fun playing football.

Today was the perfect way to cap off one VERY busy summer. ☀️⚽️💙

Now… maybe we can all have a little rest! 😂🙌🏼

What. A. Day. 🥹⚽️

After 5 incredibly close games, we played some of the best football we’ve seen from these girls! The progression they’ve made is honestly incredible, and it didn’t go unnoticed today. We had so many compliments from teams we’ve faced throughout our journey preparing for their first season, with several people commenting on just how much the girls have developed.

I even overheard one team say: “Oh, they came to play!” 😂⚽️ And they absolutely did!

We battled our way all the way to the final, where we faced an incredibly tough and competitive opponent. After a brilliant game of football, it finished 1–1. Both sides gave absolutely everything, and there was some AMAZING football on display. 🔥

Then came penalties… and yet another draw! 😱

So, it went to sudden death. Unfortunately, the opposition got the better of us this time, but honestly, I couldn’t be more proud.

Across the whole tournament, the girls were strong, competitive, composed and clever with their decision-making. They never stopped fighting, never stopped believing and showed just how far they’ve come. 💪🏼

To see the progression from where we started to the football they’re producing now is incredible.

Couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them today. 💕⚽️

The result might not have gone our way, but today was a massive win for this team. 🥹💚

What an incredible morning for our Elm United U10 Girls & siblings🐍💚

Today was all about making memories away from the football pitch! The girls spent an hour on a HUGE slip ‘n’ slide, enjoyed an amazing party buffet in the inflatable picnic area, and then bounced their way through an hour on a giant inflatable park! 🌊🎉

A massive thank you to Harley’s dad Bounce Southwest for organising such a fantastic morning. We are so lucky to have such an incredible group of girls and the most supportive families around. We really have hit the jackpot with this team. 💚

Watching these friendships grow is just as important as watching them develop as players. The girls are so well supported, genuinely cared for, and have such an exciting football journey ahead of them! with a brilliant group of teammates to share it with.

Days like today remind us that football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. 💚⚽

What a weekend for our Cobras! 👏

Saturday we had a friendly against Morley. It was another really competitive game against a team we always enjoy playing. We’ve faced each other a few times now and it’s great to be building a good friendship between the teams. We can’t wait for the next one! 💪

A huge well done to Olivia, who bagged herself a brilliant goal! ⚽️👏

Every single girl put in an outstanding performance, but a few special mentions this weekend…

🧡 Ayda - Strong in the tackle, worked tirelessly to win the ball back and drive us up the pitch. A fantastic performance.

🧡 Paisley – Full of energy from start to finish. Lots of great runs, supporting our attackers brilliantly and never afraid to get stuck into a challenge. You were everywhere!

🧡 Imogen – She’s played some fantastic football this weekend. Her confidence is growing every game, and it’s clear she’s developing into a brilliant player. Keep believing in yourself, Immo! 👏

Today we took part in the Manadon Football Tournament, where we played 7 games back-to-back before reaching the semi-finals! 💪

It was a day of incredibly close matches, with draws and narrow 1-0 results throughout. We fought our way into the semi-finals before being knocked out by one very unfortunate goal.

While it’s always disappointing to miss out on a final, the progress these girls are making every single week is incredible. They’re growing in confidence, strength and ability, and they’re now competing with some really strong teams. We honestly can’t wait to see what this group achieves when the league season begins. ❤️

To finish off the weekend? An ice cream on the green before heading home for a well-earned rest. 🍦

🧡🖤 Match Day 🖤🧡

Another fantastic game this morning against a very strong MAP side. Every time we play them they challenge us, and that’s exactly what we need. Compared to the last time we met, we’ve massively narrowed the goal difference, which really shows just how much these girls are developing week by week. We absolutely love playing MAP and will definitely be getting more fixtures booked in! 💪

There were so many standout moments today. Olivia delivered an absolutely magical cross into the box, which Erin calmly finished to score a brilliant goal. ⚽️✨

Isabelle was solid from start to finish, putting in another strong performance, while Ruby was an absolute force to be reckoned with. She was fearless in the tackle all game and even secured her very first slide tackle, a moment we won’t forget! 👏

A special mention to our captain today, Violet, who led by example. She gathered the girls together for team talks at every break, encouraging and organising everyone brilliantly. It’s lovely to see leadership qualities growing within the squad.

One of my favourite moments wasn’t even during play, it was seeing the girls huddling together to do their new team chant. Watching them build those friendships, support one another and really come together as a team before the season starts is exactly what grassroots football is all about. 🧡

The technical improvements across the whole squad are there for everyone to see. We’re creating more chances, looking stronger at the back, and growing in confidence every single week. September can’t come soon enough!
