Itās been a busy summer! š
And I have loved meeting lots of new dancers, who are making time to revisit their childhood passions, try something new or just focus on themselves for a change.
Adult ballet in particular is BOOMING and online lessons to top up your practise are most definitely a viable option š
Has the penny dropped? š”
Thankyou to all my online dancers for joining me over the summer - Iām now enjoying a week off, before the new term starts!

As part of my required CPD as a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher I have just completed an Open University OpenLearn course āSupporting Adult Learnersā Positive Mental Healthā.
Very thought provoking and interesting - a time to reflect on my approach to working with adults, both in the studio and online.
āThis course supported demonstration of the following learning outcomes:
recognise barriers to learning which can occur as a result of adult learnersā poor mental health;
identify stigmatised behaviours and common misconceptions about adult learnersā mental health and develop skills which equip educators to reduce stigma in educational practice;
recognise the signs of adult learnersā poor mental health and apply appropriate methods to engage in discussions about their mental health, including signposting to relevant support;
encourage adult learners to use appropriate coping strategies which support positive wellbeing and mental health;
create self-care strategies and skills which support personal positive wellbeing.ā - source - OpenLearn
