Reminder no training for 2 weeks. We do not have access to the sports hall due to college enrollment. All sessions are cancelled and will resume back to normal from 1st sept.

**Reminder** College is closed tomorrow Friday 10th July for staff training. No community sessions. Back to normal next week.

Another big game for our mens team this weekend. As we host Rotherham Hawks.

Busy weekend of basketball ahead. A double header for the Men. Meanwhile U14s and u16s get their NL seasons underway. Along with junior Durham league games for our girls and u14s White team. LETS GO LIONS!! 🦁🏀

East Durham Lions has always prided itself on being a community basketball club.

As such we strive to keep our costs as low as possible; we know they are and will continue to be amongst the lowest in the region at both junior and senior levels.

Sadly, despite our great ongoing relationship with East Durham College, they are raising the court hire fees from 1st October 2025 for all users.

As a result of this we regret that we need to increase our fees to you as well.

New Charges

Adult training and game fees - increase to £6.

Junior Pay and play sessions £4 per session.

We hope you understand the above changes have been only implemented out of necessity. Our club is fully staffed by volunteers and not run as a business. We just need to make sure that the costs are covered to enable us to carry on providing basketball to all.

These new charges come into effect immediately.

9 years ago our first ever national league Junior game. We won by 1 point with a Rich Clerihew lay up in the last seconds of the game. Can you believe 7 of the people in this pic are now part of our clubs first ever mens NL team. Come along tomorrow and Support them. 2pm tip at East Durham College!
