RYAN SMART DEPARTS

The club can confirm a deal has been agreed with Buchanhaven Hearts JFC for the permanent transfer of Ryan Smart.

Ryan was one of Lee’s first signings in 2019 and has went on to make over 200 appearances scoring over 90 goals in the process.

Lee commented as follows:

One of the toughest parts in football is moments like this..

Ryan has been outstanding for me over a prolonged period and certainly wasn’t someone we wanted to lose. However, following a lengthy conversation with Ryan after an offer came in from Buchanhaven, it was agreed that the time was right for him to move on.

Ryan and Lucy have recently welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world, so the opportunity to play his football closer to home makes complete sense at this stage in his life.

Ryan leaves with nothing but our thanks and best wishes. He’s been brilliant for Culter, both on and off the pitch, and we’re glad to see him joining a great club.

This will prove to be an excellent signing for the Hearties, we’re sure of that.

Culter Youth FC and Culter Juniors are working together to bring floodlights to Crombie Park — creating fantastic opportunities for our young players and helping build future U18 and U21 pathways within Culter. ⚽️💡

Around 50% of the £90,000 target has already been raised, but there’s still work to do to get the project moving.

We’re looking for grant opportunities, charitable trusts, local businesses, sponsorship opportunities and anyone with experience in community or sports funding who may be able to help.
