🦅 Blue Team Match Report ⚽
The Blues were back in action today against YDP FC in another valuable pre-season fixture.
Although the result didn't fall our way, there was so much to be proud of. The boys controlled large spells of the game, playing with confidence and composure on the ball. Their passing, movement, recycling of possession, and ability to reset play showed the progress they're making as a team.
It was fantastic to see the players putting into practice what we've been working on in training. They created a number of excellent chances and, on another day, a few more of those opportunities could easily have found the back of the net.
Pre-season isn't just about results—it's about building confidence, developing our style of play, and learning with every game. Today's performance showed just how far this group has come, and we're excited to keep building on it.
A huge well done to all of the boys for their effort, attitude, and commitment. The hard work continues! 💙🦅

🦅 Blue Team Match Report from today's friendly⚽
Another positive step forward for the Blues today as we took on a strong, well-balanced Stanground FC U15s side in a fantastic pre-season friendly.
We didn't start the game as we would have liked. We lacked focus, tried to do too much individually, and moved away from the style of football we've been working on in training.
After a positive and honest conversation at half-time, the boys responded brilliantly.
The second half was a completely different performance. The teamwork, movement, passing, and switching of play were excellent, and it was fantastic to see the players putting into practice everything we've been working on. It was a real example of how listening, learning, and working together can make such a difference.
While we're delighted to come away with the win, but the scoreline doesn't tell the full story. Stanground provided a tough test throughout and deserve a lot of credit for making it such a competitive and enjoyable game.
Most importantly, we're proud of the character the boys showed. They took on feedback, adapted, and grew as a team—exactly what pre-season football is all about.
Well done, Blues! 💙🦅
🦅 Red Team Match Report ⚽
The Reds took on a well-organised and disciplined Nene Valley side in Sunday's game in another valuable pre-season friendly.
While there was a clear difference in experience at times, the boys showed great character and produced some excellent passages of football throughout the game. There were plenty of positives to take away, and that's exactly what pre-season friendlies are all about.
For both the players and coaches, these games provide an opportunity to learn, develop, and continue building towards the season ahead. Every minute on the pitch helps us grow as individuals and as a team.
With 19 players in the squad today, everyone had the chance to get valuable game time, and the boys handled the rotations brilliantly, supporting each other and maintaining a fantastic attitude from start to finish.
We, as coaches, are proud of the effort, commitment, and resilience shown by every player today, and we're excited to continue building as we look ahead to next week's fixture.
Well done, Reds! ❤️🦅
Blue team managers report 05.07.26
Our first full 11-a-side fixture since the end of the season saw the Blues take to the pitch for a pre-season friendly, and while the result didn't go our way, there were plenty of positives to take away.
For us, friendlies are about learning, development, and preparation rather than the final score. They're an opportunity for both players and coaches to try new ideas, build confidence, and continue developing as a team.
Today's focus was on playing out from the back and breaking the opposition's lines, and the boys fully embraced the challenge. There were some excellent passages of play that showed exactly what we're working towards, as well as valuable lessons that we'll take into training over the coming weeks.
Every game is another step on the journey, and we're proud of the effort, attitude, and willingness to learn that the boys showed throughout.
Well done, Blues! 💙🦅 The hard work continues.

A brilliant day out for Peterborough Eagles FC at the Colsterworth Tournament. 🦅
We split into three teams — Red, Blue, and Gold — and every single group showed heart, teamwork and determination.
❤️The Reds fought their way to the Cup semi‑finals after an amazing penalty shootout in the playoffs
💙The Blues went all the way and finished Cup Runners‑Up.
💛And our mixed Gold Team shone bright, bringing home the Shield win.
Huge well done to all the boys, coaches and supporters. Days like this remind us what Eagles football is all about.

🦅⚽ What a day at our Peterborough Eagles In-House Tournament! ⚽🦅
Today wasn't about league tables or trophies. It was about having fun, trying something different, and enjoying the game we all love.
Players swapped positions, teamed up with
teammates they don't usually play alongside, and challenged themselves in completely new ways.
Of course, no Eagles tournament would be complete without a healthy dose of drama... 👀
🏆 Close games
😅 A great penalty shootout
😂 Plenty of laughs and an unbelievable amount of banter from players, coaches, and parents alike!
Days like today remind us why Peterborough Eagles is more than just football. It's about creating an environment where players can express themselves and simply enjoy the game!
Here's to many more days like this! 💙❤️🦅

Managers report from Sunday's friendly (31.05.26):
As this is friendly, we don't look at the result, we trialled new players and looked at their abilities in the game. Also, our plan was to play from the back, breaking lines and timing runs. Yes, we made some mistakes, which cost us goals, but we only develop playing as planned and using repetition. There is a lot of things to work on, but I am sure we are going to the right direction.
Well done to the boys and congratulations Holbeach United FC.

What a weekend it has been for Peterborough Eagles!
The Glinton & Northborough FC Spring 6s tournament brought a day of great weather, great company and some great football from our teams 💙❤️
No trophies came home with us this time — but honestly, that’s not what the day was about for us.
It was about the boys getting out there, enjoying their football, making memories with teammates, supporting one another, and continuing to grow together both on and off the pitch. 🦅
A huge thank you to everyone involved and to Glinton & Northborough FC for hosting a fantastic tournament 🙌
