We are excited to announce our High-Energy 3v3 Football Festival taking place on Thursday 7th August!

This event is about so much more than football. Yes, there will be fast-paced games, plenty of touches on the ball, goals, smiles, and excitement, but at its heart, this festival is about bringing our community together.

We’re proud to be working alongside local businesses who are supporting the event, while we also help showcase and support them. Building strong connections within our local community is something we are passionate about, and football provides the perfect platform to do just that.

Creating opportunities for the next generation is something I take great pride in. Events like this allow young players to experience the power of football both on and off the pitch – developing confidence, friendships, teamwork, and a sense of belonging within their community.

The very first Somba Cup 3v3 Festival is officially in the books and what a moment it was. This wasn’t just an event, it was the result of months of vision, dedication, and relentless effort finally coming to life. From the very first whistle, the atmosphere was electric. Fast-paced, high energy football, raw talent on display, and a level of competitiveness that kept everyone on the edge of their seats it truly was something special.

But beyond the goals and the games, this festival was about creating opportunities, building confidence, and bringing a community together through the love of football. Seeing players express themselves, support each other, and thrive in such an intense yet enjoyable environment was nothing short of inspiring.

This may have been our first event, but it’s only the beginning. Plans are already underway for an even bigger and better festival this August and you won’t want to miss it.

To all the parents, clubs, and supporters: this is your invitation. Be part of something that’s growing, something that’s empowering young players, and something that’s redefining the football experience.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible from those behind the scenes planning and organising, to the referees, supporters, and of course, the players who brought it all to life. And special appreciation to our incredible photographer for capturing moments that truly tell the story of what Somba Cup is all about.

‼️ Tournament Alert ‼️

Our very first tournament at the Assombalonga Academy was an unforgettable experience!

It presented its challenges, but there were countless positives to take away from it. We fought our way to the silver cup final, ultimately losing 1-0 in a hard-fought match that showcased our determination and skill.

In the beginning, the boys were understandably nervous, which affected their performance in the first two games. However, as the tournament progressed, they found their rhythm and began to believe in one another’s abilities.

By the end of the tournament, we achieved some impressive results, and I am incredibly proud of the boys for the tremendous effort they put forth throughout the event. Their resilience and teamwork truly shone, making this experience one we will always remember.
